I think we are witnessing a murder here ._.

Either way, Viola ain't holding back. Guess Rupert really struck a nerve for her ;)

Bea, I absolutely love your attention to detail with regard to the feline body language! The ears tell it all!

Luigi Bros

I know this goes so much deeper, but i love how rupert went from a tool to annoy mino to someone she actually likes.

Nick Klepac

Kill her Mino, we would all be happy.

Finally, Mino hears what is needed. Hope this is a big turning point in her life for her.

Duke of Derp

Yess yessss get it all out. It's time for character growth!

Cat Fight! In all seriousness, its nice to see an outsider's perspective on this whole situation. Hopefully this doesn't escalate too much.

Woah, I don't think Mino's ever referenced her first 'human' since she told Rupert that she'd been ditched. Either way Viola's definitely firing both barrels. So what will Mino say about that? Tune in to our next scheduled comic!

Tactical Bagels

Reminds me of becoming an adult and realizing with adult freedoms and adult respect comes adult responsibility to carry my own weight. I’m also glad the A bomb got dropped, because while Mino and Rupert’s relationship isn’t yet toxic, the way their relationship is so unbalanced is often a breeding ground for toxic entitlement and abuse. Mino acts as if her contribution is emotional support, diminishing the emotional support Rupert provides- on top of all the labor both financial and domestic.

The Ravenger

Ears back the whole time she is there to scrap, mino’s ears keep changing she ain’t ready for the heat. (Love the comic btw I only unreasonably wish that there was more of the comic and more often.)

BAM! Struck like lightning! Kinda like how Rupert did with Viola by showing her what a true fan he is of her work. But anyway. Cold hard true, Struck to her inner core. I'm really curious to see what mino's reaction is going to be.

Trying to wrap my head around Mino's, "So what -- I have my guard up" response, on the heels of her saying she puts people she loves ahead of her. A cynic might say she just admitted the quiet part out loud: that not only does she not have feelings for Rupert, but she doesn't WANT to have feelings for him, and feels justified in simply using him (because the last human she loved used her). Ouch.

Oh, there’s a smackdown in my town! Ron Stoppable, a very wiseman.

Billy Green

While I get where Viola's coming from, she's taking a hammer to a nut that was gradually opening on its own.

Eeyore

I think Mino’s intent to go out of her way to help Viola is what matters more than who’s footing the bill. I think Viola is missing the point of Mino’s big heart.

Nick Klepac

Don't forget Viola, that loser with the big heart in front of you saved your butt.

Sasha

Mino still needs to hear this and doesn’t deny that if she was footing the bill she wouldn’t have done this so her heart may not be as big as it seems on its face here.

I understand, about the amount of comics. One one side I wish to return to a weekly schedule. on the other hand I wrote myself a bit in a corner and try to figure out how to resolve that in a satisfying manner....and of course other projects are taking a lot of time too atm. That's being said, having a fewer updates does help to make the series last longer (in amount of comics/stories I mean) since I have more time contemplating new episodes. So, maybe that's a silver lining ^^

👎🏻 Not me! I'm one of those who believe that this dress-down of Mino from Viola was a long time in coming. This is really just tough love coming from Viola. And it's actually better that it doesn't come from Rupert, but from an outside source. It would hurt WAY too much to come from Rupert, and Rupi would never have the heart to tell her off like that to begin with. Like I said: Mino really needs to appreciate Rupert FAR more than she does. And she's a human now--she needs to start acting like one, even if she does have some feline characteristics. Continuing to pretend to be a cat in human form is just shirking her responsibility as a sentient, sapient person.
