Hey everyone,

Little update on my Etsy shop. I have new merch. Yippie!!! :D

If you are interested, please check out my store. I’ll give you guys the early drop  before I advertise this over on Webtoon later the coming week ^^

https://www.etsy.com/shop/Sedine

Also, not trying to sound dramatic but, this might be my last merch drop (same with the Patreon merch, that will get one more update soon, too).

It’s not settled in stone yet but I have been contemplating this for a while.

Merchandise has never been a big part of our earnings and that’s not necessarily anything unusual in the webcomic scene. But I still enjoyed making these because I myself like to collect trinkets.

However, my closet is stuffed to the brim with little nicknacks that I myself feel like dialing things back a tad.

On top of that, I feel a bit overwhelmed these days. I love creating art.

But designing, taking photos, packing stuff, replying to PMs and managing a storefront is starting to grind on me. And I don’t even wanna start about sending things outside the country. Filling out those forms is such a pain in the neck (which is why international shipping is sadly not available for the time being :()

I still keep on creating comics and art. But I wish to do less non-art related duties in the future.

And finally, it’s getting pricey.

I’m talking production, store and payment fees and shipping costs etc..

My merch is already as cheap as I can make it and…it’s not necessarily flying off the shelfs ^^”

I’m afraid I have to raise prices in the future which will leave me with even fewer sales or no profits at all.

Don’t get me wrong, this is not meant to guilt trip or influence you. By all means, only purchase from my store if you really want to do so on your own. There is no hard feelings if you prefer to stick with Patreon only :)

It’s more like a friendly reminder for those who still are on the fence or have been eyeing a certain piece for awhile.

On a more positive note, the shop will stay around for awhile since I stocked stuff pretty generously this time. But, Imma give it till the end of the year and then we’ll see, I guess ^^

Thanks for reading and thank you for your support. ^^

There's a couple keychains I want 💵💵💵💵 still kicking myself for not buying the kimono Mino 😭

InSecurity

The Kimono Mino was never a keychain tho. Although I did consider it to make her one since I liked that motif a lot too 🤗

Inflation hits all of us. There is no shame in raising prices to maintain profitability.

Bea, I live in Japan and you've sent me goodies before. I appreciate that but I know very well, that international shipping can be a real pain. I have a friend in Hawaii who would love for me to send him some Indonesian Mandheling coffee beans and in return, he'd send me some Kona coffee but the mailing and customs forms are just too much. I hope things work out the way you want them to. Good luck.

Well, now I HAVE to get Gal with her pink P-bass!

I can’t imagine all that you’re juggling but love all your hard work. Definitely getting Mino keychain.

Thanks. I think it has gotten worse in the past couple years, tho. I remember shipping things all over the world between 2010-2020 and it wasn't really that big of a deal. But nowadays I feel like they need far more input on those forms, what custom numbers are needed etc. and Germany, if you are a seller of goods, wants all sorts of numbers and stuff which...might or might not concern small sellers might me. But nowhere I get a clear answer which makes me at this point just throw the towel, I guess ^^"

More keychains to decorate my stuff with!

Damn I love the merch. Do what you need to do. But maybe shift to selling prints or something that fixes the problem? I dunno just want more Mino in my room lol

Japan isn't very different. Value of the items being shipped sets up how much of an import duty needs to be paid. I have a rental mailbox in Florida that will ship my material to me in Japan. I pay them a yearly fee plus their repackaging and filling in customs forms costs. I rarely use them any more as I can get most things I would order from the U.S., here in Japan.

I definitely understand. If I had more spare money, I would happily buy all the new and old merch, but I suppose it's also a one-time purchase for most people. It's definitely the type of thing where people will only buy when they have spare money - after all, I have barely had any spare money to buy things I desperately want, let alone everything I want to buy. I suppose prints could be a way around it as mentioned by another commenter (perhaps simply using what you already post for Patreon, with a time delay), but it's probably just going to result in the same thing. You could always try more limited runs, or simply create merch just for Patrons (I know some creators who basically have special merch tiers, admittedly to the expensive side, which they probably use to fund said exclusive merch), but it all depends on you. If I gain enough spare money, I will definitely make a few purchases. But regardless, the choice is yours.
