The use of imagery is very much enjoyable, hearkening back to a by gone era of small towns with domestics raising the children at home while the fellow goes off to work. And it's modern adaptation suggesting there are reasons for hope in the future. And because it's a cat girl I conclude that this is a family from Nirikashi in the Hokido Prefecture. Or maybe a suburb of Tokyo. *Silly grin*
