Katzen ch5: 'Man proposes, the cat disposes' pt2 (Patreon)

Nearly forgot to post the next two pages. I’m not used to the bi-weekly schedule yet (especially since I still consider this comic in the Hiatus status since I’m still in the drawing phase 🫠)

Anyway, Mutti Mechthild might not be killing it with her role as a mother. But you can’t say she isn’t at least trying 🥹

This whole scene would’ve worked better AFTER the backstory but it’s important nonetheless. Prople often are confused if these two are brothers or not. Answer to that…well, it’s complicated 😅. In Mechthild’s eyes they were both her sons. Meanwhile In ‘Kitten’ Jack has stated several times that he doesn’t view Walter as a brother, a view that’s been rooted in jealousy when they were kids, like you can see here. (More about that in the proper flashback, I guess).

‘Katzen’ is a project that has a lot of layers within the characters and their story. I think this might be the reason that it’s not pulling in as much readers as ‘Kitten’ does. At this moment it’s all over the place and might be a tad too complex for my own ability. However, I do hope that once it’s fully completed people can read the whole story in one go and connect the dots layed out through the chapters 😇
