So, I made a weird realization with Mino when I drew this. She has heterochromia, which is not uncommon for Calico cats. However, when it comes to humans, nobody has yellow eyes. Closest thing would be amber or brown. So, in human terms one of her eyes is blue and the other brown.

Her former partner had blue eyes, meanwhile Rupert has brown eyes. In other words, her eyes kinda represent both dudes she was and is with is. So it's like a Spike Spiegel thing where 'one of her eyes sees the past while the other sees the future'.

That was not intended when I designed her but I think it's kinda neat of a coincident :)

That's such a fun realization! and despite being unintentional its a really fun character design to represent a character's experience

Now I need minor in a Faye cosplay.

That is some realization there. I love it when we realize such things. I think I occasionally realize stuff like this myself. I think I mentioned it once or twice about your comic characters.

Every young woman needs a little-black-dress and Mino sure looks good in hers.

Yeah, I've had the same thing happen with my characters as well. Though I write, not draw. But every so often, something about them has new relevance that I never imagined prior.

When your characters come alive, they start talking to you and telling you how to write the story. J. Michael Straczynski, creator of Babylon 5, had that happen to him. He was writing a pivotal scene and one character said to him, "No, I should do it." He said it scared him when that happened. He also had two of his characters wake him up in the middle of the night with a discussion about the Minbari having a simplified language structure where the intensity of how a word is said creates variations that require separate words in English. However, if you get really snarky characters that come to life, they might berate you for being a hack writer, or they might surprise you and start writing their own fan fiction within the story you're writing *about them*.
