Poor Jackie is losing on both fronts :(

Little fun fact. In the original draft of this story Maboroshi_Wink (the archer) and BedsideManor (the knight) were guys that Walter intentionally cat fished because they were...well, not very nice. However, I felt it made the whole sequence kinda mean spirited and a little cliche. So I asked my husband what I could change and how to re-write things to make the story more light hearted and original. His solution: Turn the archer and the knight into girls.

And believe it or not but it actually solved the problem perfectly! For once Walter comes off far less as a douche since he didn't intentionally cat fished these two but instead befriended them and never fessed up to his true identity. And on the other hand Bedside and Maboroshi's dislike for Jack feels more rooted in bad experience with other male co-players in the past (which is another reason Walter not blowing his cover) rather than them being just mean/jealous their 'queen' is having a guy friend. To be fair, it doesn't justify their bad behavior in any way. (I mean, what did poor Jack do!? ;A; ) But...in comparison to how these characters were handled in the original draft it's a huge upgrade, imo.

On top of that I think y'all appreciate two cute cat girl designs over two male designs. I'm not putting myself down here. But I do read the room ;P (Don't worry, I have a few handsome guys planned as well. But they'll get their time to shine later :P)
