As I said earlier, I thought Sam's side came a bit too short and I wanted to at least scratch on his feelings.

I also wanted to show that the whole bonding process went on for a certain time span (with the original strips it felt to me like they started to get along within a week and that's it...which I thought was way too short :P)

I like the fading effect in the last panel. I had to eraser the tones around Ellie to create the soft spotlight effect...

Poor Ellie, she could've had such a nice dude on her side....but when you think about it, both El and Sam are so mellow and similar...they probably would've bored each other to death eventually XD
