Okay, this is already more funny than a comic strip ought to be. But what I really like is the fact that the dude is simply too hideous for words. While the real world has tons of love stories where the guy marries the ugly girl and the girl falls for the really dweeby guy, you don't see that nearly at all in fiction. So thumbs up for sailing undaunted into the sea of never tropes.
