The third panel is probably my favorite close up of all time...at least until now :)

Besides of that, the first panel had way too many revisions...I mean for such a simple set up XD

Hope you like it tho :)

Dear Bea, I wanted to thank you. I had mentioned that every panel didn't have to be a perfect work of art and you said yes, it did. That comment of yours made me reevaluate my own comic book work and I re-did several panels I thought were just--good enough. Now every panel is exactly the way I want it and I have you to thank for it. Best, Nick

Did I really say it that way? ?_? I'm sorry, I didn't meant to sound stuck up or to lecture you. Cartooning to me is nothing competitive, since every artist has their own ways how to handle things and their own styles. It would be wrong on my part to tell people what and what not to do. Therefore I'm sorry if I wrote something which sounded a bit too much like lecturing. I really didn't meant it that way :< However, I'm happy to hear you could improve some things tho :D I know that feel when things getting better after reworking it ^^ The other day I had a longer talk with my husband about the same theme and the quality of our strip. He basically said, that on average 9/10 strips look great and the remaining one has a lover quality. I think 7/10 look great, while I feel bad about the 3 left, which are kinda off. I'm my worst enemy, I guess, but it also helps me improve in the long run ^^. (Btw. I have not forgotten your mail. I try to get to it ASAP. I'm sorry for letting you wait that long :

Dear Bea, There is no need to apologize. You said something I needed to hear. In spite of the fact that I've been in comics for over 50 years (wow! that's a half a century) this is only the second comic I've ever drawn. As I mentioned I am a writer and pulp illustrator. It's easy to fool yourself into thinking you are doing great work and you need to hear it, from someone you respect, that maybe you should give your work a second look and make sure it's all top notch. Thanks for being that someone. I look forward to hearing from you concerning my email, when you get the time. Best, Nick
