Thinking about making 1-2 permanent commission slots on my Patreon so you'll never have to get in a wait list and are guaranteed a commission each month. These would be Full Body Rendered commissions. It would be a pricey tier but it would be a huge advantage instead of having to wait in a queue it would be priority.

I think it's a good idea although I'm a little ignorant on how Patreon tiers work, you just sign up for a month and then swap back to your regular membership the next month?

You can stay on it as long as you want. If you cancel or switch after joining that tier you'll be charged the new fee the next month and keep the benefits of the higher tier for that month only. The idea for these is really for people that think they'd want consistent commissions to stay on the tier since it will be super limited

How much would that tier be? I know I'm signed up for simple sketch commissions for a handful of artists already.

So I'm thinking these would be like around the price of a normal full body + you get all the other tier benefits besides the profile sketch. I don't want to give an exact number to it yet because I'd like to think through what else I can offer and adjust i forsee it being something like 150-180(USD) and I want to try to offer more than just that. But that's pretty close to just paying the price of a commission normally

Since this and commissions are my Only source of income right now id like to push more in the territory of having something more consistent and reliable each month. So this is a further push towards that.

Even thinking about it further I could do upwards of 5-6 slots as long as they are consistent. That would put me at my goal amount which could potentially keep this new tier cheaper. That way anything else is just helping me live more comfortably. I would love to be able to do this over a part time job especially after having major knee surgery last year.

I love the idea, I wonder if the tier might be a bit of sticker-shock for potential clients? If not full body, full priced commissions, there might be a market for more available, simpler works? Enough to still hit your financial goal without massively increasing your workload.

True, I think thats what im most afraid of. I dont want to overwhelm myself for sure. And a mix might be the better idea. Ive gotten a better idea of what my limits are both time and mentally wise doing the batch Ive been doing recently. But these also have lots of extras like Alts or Complex additions, which usually adds more time regardless.
