Given she's Kryptonian like Superman and Supergirl, you can always play either on the classic exposure to a funky coloured Kryptonite. Or something in line with their absorption of solar power for energy. Potentially merge the two. The Latter is certainly a fun exponential growth trigger since the larger she gets, the more sunlight she would absorb and be exposed to.
