I just wanna hear your thoughts about the next poll rules regarding repeating winners. The number of times the character wins will also be the number of years it's cooldown/ban will be. For example, this is Mirajane's 2nd win, she'll have a cooldown/ban from poll 2 years. If she wins again in the next 2 years or so, we'll have her ban for 3 years, so on and so forth.

Or anyone wants them ban forever?

this kinda happens when your fan base also has a very limited and similar taste in anime/manga/novels. if you really want variety, the popular characters should be pooled and done like a lottery if you want one of them. otherwise, suggest a few series to choose from. at least thats what ive seen other content creators do

Iv been trying to introduce new girls when the polls come up but some of the one I picked are kinda niche so not everyone has heard of them but I don’t think anyone should get banned just have a cool down period

Personally, I feel like don’t make the number of years based on the number of wins, but go more of a steady increase, so like if they win the first time, year ban, they come back, win again, then like add 1 or 2 months to their ban, and then repeat, that way it doesn’t make it insanely long to get a new drawing for them but still gives them a break and a way to get other characters from said series

2 year ban is fine. I'd rather have a ban on brand new characters, or rather a suddenly popular character that catches everyones eyes. If you want to draw that character yourself, that's cool and all, but to be allowed in polls when I'll bet half your fan base doesn't know said new character, it's a real kick in the pants when I think the polls are a good place for lesser known or characters not seen in a while can get some love.

Honestly, I don't think it won't make much of a difference. Even if characters are banned forever, each season new anime come in and hence, there will be more waifus, some of them will likely become popular and eventually be featured in these polls and win. It's pretty much impossible for a less popular character to win. If you want to actually make a meaningful change, you could remove the polls alltogether and instead use a random name picker to choose the winner. Or maybe a combination of a random picker and the polls, for example by requiring character to get at least 3 votes to get added to the random pool.

Maybe we could alternate between months in which characters from prominent shows are featured and months where only niche characters are featured.

This is what I think. If we can't agree on one new way of doing the ban then what you're suggesting is fare I guess. I know you didn't ask about changing the way you do the polls but... My suggestion is to do a voting poll, in this poll you sort the girls based on who you think is more popular. So the first two posts will give you 20 suggestions, then sort them according to popularity, then give us the 5 most popular girls, for example, then we choose of these popular girls who to include in the final voting poll.

doo0oo0om

I know this is more work on your part, but I think it gives less popular girls a chance

TheWiseWolf

I feel like /years/ is a little excessive

I just want more series to be done and less repeats. How are new series supposed to get a chance if everyone always votes for the same character/series everytime their cool downs are done?

eman5112

I agree with the increased cooldown for repeat winners. Some characters have one multiple times at this point, and I think giving a chance to other (probably less recent/popular ones) would be pretty nice

DodgeGuy1871

My thoughts exactly! I've been trying to do lesser known series like Skeleton Knight, Nekopara, Harem in the Labyrinth, etc.

DodgeGuy1871

The series of anime should probably be banned more, for example you've done a lot of Fairytail and High School DXD. Those series should probably have higher ban times compared to say Overlord or Nekopara

ChronicleVal

More like x Character wins times do them but then have a 100 character difference before putting her on a list again Not nessecarily that amount but yeah xD

Dodeca

I feel like a 2-year ban is excessive. 1 year seems fine.

13 DxD total.
