Hey everyone,

I'm sorry to create a second placeholder this month. The bills piled up while I was caring for my wife, and I need to create a second post to help cover the expenses.

I'm aiming to get the next chapter done by Sunday next week, and I'll keep you posted on the weekend as to my progress.

Not that I'm aware of. But at this point you could cancel, come back the 3 years or so and be only 1 or 2 placeholders behind

According to Patreon we are supposed to be paying “per creation” so until some notional future chapter arrives in a year or two, those three sentences are the “creation” we’re paying for.

Doubtful you read these, but I'm done. Starting to recycle excuses and it's gotten old. 3 months 5 placeholders and not a completed chapter. I'll check back in in a few years and see if there is anything more than a stack of unearned placeholders.

Just a quick note. Tefler dropped 2 placeholders for this month. His home page shows his revenue from followers. His take is $5099 per placeholder this month. $10198 for 2 notes and NO actual story continuance, just a promise to work on it later. I have to work 60 hour weeks all month at the hospital to make that type of a paycheck.

At the current rate of story production, and "assuming" no more placeholders, it will take Tef from a minimum six years six months and up to eight years eight months to meet his obligation. This month alone he has added from six - eight months to that deficit and if this month is any indicator of the future, then by June, he will have added another two plus years to his obligation. Furthermore, by extending that same logic to the end of the year, he will add an additional five years to six years eight months to an already burgeoning deficit.

Hey, I'm 95 years old been with this Turkey from the very beginning. Based on your forecast for meeting his obligations do you suppose I'll survive to be a 103 and still be able to read? Of course that's presuming he doesn't post anymore placeholders Good grief, I have never had the kind of medical problems he's experiencing. I have been in wars and had jealous husbands chase😁😁😁 me I never had a problem with my health not even a bullet hole. Tefler must be doing something wrong or he Is a good liar. Not per se. They wouldn't get sent to you or anything. However, if you cancel now, and come back in (for instance) a year an re-join (make sure it's at the minimum level and set it to no more than one billing per month), then you can access all the posts that membership level allows. Then you can download every chapter he got done in that year and cancel your membership. Using that method would cost you $1 per year (or however often you decide to do a download run) instead of $1 per month.

Here's what you do: suspend your subscription immediately. Keep the free membership for the updates, this will let you know when he posts new content. When he has posted enough of what you like, upgrade your subscription to the lowest tier and grab everything you want (you can go way back for older content). Then quickly go back to the free tier before he scams you again. You can do this once a year or once a month, up to you. This is the only way to deal with a scummy creator.

You said your plan for this year was to catch up and it’s been 3 months and you haven’t even completed a single chapter. You have charged 4 placeholders since then. When people started complaining a lot and leaving you in droves, I bumped my membership level because I believed in you. I went from $1 to $2 and it’s been $5 for over a year. That’s $20 you’ve charged me for almost nothing. Im not even going to bother reading this last segment because your story has been going nowhere anyway. I believe that Tefler did finish chapter 179 last Monday, but we will not get this until the end of month. This way he will post the chapter and he will not have to do work on 180 until next month. That way he can holiday on our money and not have to work. I’ve been a loyal Patreon for him for years, but I do have my limits. He will never finish this story and that’s a shame as many have been loyal to him for a long time. Since I have been a member here Tefler has never posted anything during the month, only at month end. Good luck to everyone who continues to wait for the next placeholder.

I have been loyal to Tef for a few years. But I have noticed the past few chapters have been generated and really not forwarding the complexity of the story. So I'm wondering if maybe Tef is incapacitated or not capable of writing at the moment, or even dead. I wonder if a family member has seen easy money just stringing us along. Just a theory on my end.

He just cannot seem to deliver, ... such a shame too, ... -- Many of our Author's fans have suggested that to help him to catch up on all those chapters he owes to us, .... that he writes shorter chapters, .... well since he is already taking a couple months (or more) to knock out a completed chapter, why not make the half chapters into a short but complete chapter. why not? ... it might mean more cliffhangers, but what the heck, .... ;-) ttfn

Don’t mind helping with your expenses if it means you can write more. However, you said you’d provide an update “on the weekend,” which was March 7-8. It is now March 11. How much progress have you made towards the goal of getting the next chapter done by Sunday, March 15?

Chapter 178 (approx, 21k words) was finished early December 2025. So far, it has been 3 1/2 months and Chapter 179 isn't even halfway completed (approx. 8.8k words). Back in the day when Tef was at his peak, he could roll about 3k words per day and finish a 30k word chapter in 10 days. Later, as he became less productive, he reduced his targeted chapter word count to 20k wpc, where it still remains to this day. I don't think Tef types any slower than before and it stands to reason that when he is working, he can still achieve 3k wpd. Another indicator to look at is the steady decline of story production. There are no ups. There are no plateaus, There is only a steady downward spiral. The goal used to be finish this story and start on the sequel, but now it doesn't seems like that is the goal anymore. So I ask, "What is the goal? Are you going to finish the story or are you going to be like GRRM or Geoffrey Chaucer, whose magnum opus (opi?, opus's?) are incomplete.

exactly why I am leaving. I don't think he knows. I don't think he cares. He is too dishonest to believe anything he says in these posts. You exactly encapsulated his decline. Its hitting the bottom now and I fear that if it weren't for the income he would have just vanished. I don't know what's up with him. Is he creatively bankrupt? Lazy? Disgusted? Dying? Who knows. Even if he told us what the problem is I doubt anyone would believe it. I wouldn't trust him to tell time. If he was SMART, he would hire help. Another writer to breath life into this dribble he has been writing. Take for example, "The Black Ship" by Ekidnawritez put out by scifistories1977 on patereon. His epic started sagging a bit but before it even became a minute problem, he hired 2 other writers to expand his story universe. The other 2 writers took side stories and filled in the blanks while he focused on advancing the main story line. Now all 3 stories have intertwined finally and they are all 3 writing together. The quality of the work is outstanding. Tefler really needs to do something like this. It will motivate him. Or if he is really tired of this, then he could pass it along with all his notes and outline of where he was going. Its so much better than letting a very high quality story with tons of potential DIE in stagnation like it has been doing the last year.

He hasn't even thought about it. He has done this several times in the past. He has NEVER come thru with those promises. Not ONCE. Its always an excuse, lame ones too. He says first Monday, in a few days, well it always ends up being the end of the next month. And all the bluster about finishing what he started in a week and getting another chapter to release at the end of the month never happens.. He is just a LIAR. He knows he isn't going to do it. He may WANT to somewhere deep down, but he cant bring himself to carry thru. So I'm leaving before the next charge. If he doesn't post anything, I will be disappointed but not surprised at all.

Hello Sir. I have been honored to have read your works and was only by blind luck that I found your handle again after you disappeared from literotica. I downloaded your posted stories that are completed and hopefully this will tie down my ravenous hunger in reading what happens next for our hero John Blake and his Lionesses and Mares. Furthermore, I have also read that you have been in and out of the hospital and I hope that your health continues to be in good condition as you work in your future endeavors. I am also read that your father had passed, and while it may be rather late to the occasion, I send my condolences to you on your loss as I am currently experiencing the loss of my last grandparent. I’m simply shocked that Tefler missed an estimated deadline to complete a chapter. I’ll check in again in early April for the continuing list of excuses why he can’t produce any meaningful content.

Well, it's already April on this side of the International Date Line, and I have given Tefler the absolute most leniency to post the promised update on progress, let alone a chapter. As a result, I'm out. I will be pleasantly surprised if I receive any of the [checks notes] 27 chapters I'm still owed, but I'm not holding out a lot of hope.

Who would have guessed that Tefler would ghost his patrons through the month of May after having computer problems. Something sticks in the back of my mind that before Tefler started to “write” full time, he wrote on Discord that he did something in IT. Surprises me that someone with IT experience couldn’t post anything but placeholders for the month.
