Hey everyone!

I've handed over the first half of the latest chapter to my editors and I'm currently working through the second half. I still aim to get two chapters out this month, which means I'll be looking at a release date of about 23rd July for chapter 124 and 31st July for chapter 125.

I want to make a minor tweak or two to chapter 123, but I'll try to get the final version for that done tomorrow. :-)

Cheers

Tefler

Hot damn, cant wait!

PLRus--Founding member of the TSM F5 club.

While I celebrate the impending release of 124 I am skeptical that we will see 125 by the 31st. That gives Tefler only 8 days to make Grammatical changes to 124 as well as send the first half to editors, get their feedback, incorporate that feedback, and write the second half....which is neigh to impossible. The man is a prodigious writer, but given that, 8 days just seems a bit short. At best I would expect a partial chapter on the 31st with several additional scenes added later. Unless, of course, Tefler has been writing both chapters in parallel, which is entirely possible. What that means for us, most likely, is the shit is hitting the fan and instead of doing it all in one chapter he is splitting it up as it would be double chapter in length to do it all in one...which I don't mind. Just don't be shocked if the finish of 125 spills over into August.

Anonymous
>>24933188

it's pretty certain the shit will hit the fan. i'm 100% certain Tefler has been researching both shit attracting fans, AND fan seaking shit for the last 124 chapters...

Cignal

Thanks for the update Tefler.

Thanks for the update. Please write at your own pace. :-)

I am with those betting on Tefler getting it done this month with 2 chapters. TKS Tefler!

CJ Mora

I seriously **NEED** these chapters, man! Jonesing for my TSM fix, and there's no crutch, no substitute, no cure to this addiction. (And the first whiff I get of an intervention, Imma go Progenitor on their ass!)

Anonymous

Looks great so far. Not really a spoiler since I am certain you all expect that.

Tomliginyu

Tefler, whatever you do, don't kill Beth.

Anonymous
>>24938985

It was reported that there was only one known survivor, so unless she was in the traitor's pod that the Brimorians rescued, i don't see how she can still be alive.

Hinterlands Man

Man, Terrans can't catch a break. I see the following happening: The Gladiator fetish progenitor shows up, gets defeated handily by speed and experience and strength rather than power reserve attrition. The black metal of the ship is turned white by them christening the ship with a big round of sex or perhaps more specifically, fluid exchange. In chapter 38, Jade offered John a drink of water and gave it to him by mouth. It turned into one of those searing kisses. "Unnoticed behind them, the hull of the Invictus was shrouded in a faint nimbus of light, the radiance centred where the amorous couple had been kissing. It slowly faded out of sight as the group walked away, leaving the jet black hull glistening with a dark sinister lustre." So there is hope for these progenitor vessels, but my guess is they need to FULLY convert it to white metal. They might find out by accident, but nonetheless when time is of the essence they will likely commandeer this black Progenitor vessel in order to teleport blam right into the Brimorian fleet, mess it up, and so on.

Steve
>>24941548

I think it was rather strongly suggest that they are gonna eschew the progenitor dreads in favor of a leaner and meaner Invictus (hopefully the mark 3 get elongated to a battleship sized vessel)

Horny Rhino

Dude, Tefler. Take it easy bud, don't burn yourself out. Remember, YOU are more important than 2 chapters a month. I think we can all agree that we'd rather you take your time on a chapter to do your thing, than rush to hit a "deadline"... Am I right people?

Taco1085

my question is will you repost on Patreon and alert us it is altered?

rich ed

so the title for chapter 121 on literotica is "Wounded little lion" do you think this is alluding to Faye? She must be somewhere in the digital network, maybe once the ship is put back together they find her? As the collective node would know she is not currently present.

Vincent
>>25005460

I actually think she is gone for good for the next 10s of chapters, otherwise the stakes are thrown out of the window and there is no feelinf if suspense, remember when jade died and john just brought her back? I think pulling this move once is enough in a series and doesnt need to be repeated, the new nymphs are already being trained to fill in fayes rolls, and most likely little one will grow as a character aswell

John Gregory

Hi Tefler, did you finish the final version of chapter 123 add per your comment on the 20th yet? Not seem anything yet.

John Jameson

Tefler announced above a couple of days' delay due to the hot weather in the UK.

thomas rodrian

Well, if we get to speculate, then I guess I should first repeat my previous suggestion. Beth is alive and she is the master mind behind the traitor’s betrayal. Second, if more than one is allowed, chapter 124, focuses on the attack n Olympus. Third, Dana will realize they always had a way to make Faye into a ‘real girl’. Finally, Admiral Lynette will be forced into revealing her post-Attack on Terra look.

Vincent
>>25035946

Idk about beth tbh, what makes you (and some other people) think she is with the traitor? Apart from the fact she is a character in that storyline of course. Genuinely curious as i dont get that vibe from her at all

Just want to say Tefler has a very cavalier attitude towards armaments considering he's apparently British. No criticism.

bob lakhanpal

I have a feeling Shanryl and her Lahlenori are going to be the crew of the destroyer sitting in the cargo bay, in the near future......specialist hackers and cyber ops under Irillith.......

thomas rodrian
>>25083834

Really? I don’t understand your comment. Considering I’m not British, I am lost. Why do you think he is showing a lack of proper concern for armaments?

Arrowglass

Shanryl did block the "attack advisory/call for help" with the T-Fed forces along with the log deletions, but the false info being provided by the sensor net net had already been done when she went out to do what she did.

thomas rodrian
>>25097568

Okay, so she is not as bad as Admiral Fish because she did not pull the trigger, but IMO, she is a rabid dog. A rabid dog cannot be trusted. They will attack everyone. In essence, she attacked her house and the Maliri by abandoning her post and weaken their forces. She is a traitor. Treat her like one.

Steve

I hope we get a bit more clarification about how Tom's fighter was sabotaged. Having flown a lot while in high school, I have a hard time picturing any pilot getting up in the air (or out in space) without going through a startup checklist and verifying system's integrity. That fight was the only thing I did not enjoy about 123.

Anonymous

Hello Tefler when we can expect the next chapter. I would have happily waited until the month end until you raised the hope of the one chapter at 23 and one more before the month end.

For London, which is where Tefler is at, that's pretty damn hot. For where I'm at, while it's still hot, that's the average temperature in the summer. Air conditioning for the win.

Evan

It looks like the temperatures are now going to be coming down in London.

thomas rodrian

today we'll get to 101, tomorrow 106, and Sunday 109. This is normal.

Steve

Anyone wanna make a prediction of how quick the latest progenitor is gonna go down? Think this is gonna be a cat and mouse theme for a few chapters or is John gonna get his rage out on this latest asshat?

Arrowglass

With the shroud in place, does the astral overlord even know what happened other than a progenitor died? When Larn'kelnar died, does he go to the astral plain as a slave of Xar'aziuth..... with memories intact...mindless...or something else?

Steve
>>25130954

Considering how twisted they become in the astral, my guess would be they don't retain their memories or sense of self. They seem rather primal with only basic instincts. Xar'Aziuth probably feeds on everything else that makes them who they are.

John Jameson

Meanwhile, IRL, Tefler posted a highly unrealistic timeline for producing two chapters by the end of the month, at a moment when there was a clear forecast for a UK heatwave. Why did he do this? I don't think he needs to produce two chapters for the money, as he gets more than three times his target income from one chapter, so his motivation must be reader expectation. I therefore think that he was aware that there was an excuse (hot weather) for the delay ahead. The UK has now had cooler days since the 23rd (Friday, and Wednesday was also not too bad), demonstrating the unrealistic nature of the original schedule. In my view, this behavior is driven by the artificial agenda of the monthly Patreon payment schedule, which influences patrons and creators alike. It is totally awesome that Tefler can write two chapters a month for this amazing story. I do not expect to receive them according to Patreon deadlines: if one month I get one, and the next I get three, no big deal: why has this become such a big deal?

Anonymous
>>25134245

well, Friday has been OK in the UK but Wednesday definitely wasn't, overnight Wednesday into Thursday was at least unpleasant. hardly think his timeline was unrealistic and he should have looked at the weather, and its just being used as an excuse.

Matt

To be fair he gave 2 dates in July, but not the year. Fingers crossed for 2020 :)

Anonymous

The length of time from her first betrayal doesn't really matter but Shanryl just stepped all over the budding Maliri/TFed alliance. Including prior acts of assistance by the Maliri it's a done deal except for the lap dances. I'd be willing to bet that after the last Admiralty meeting and the summary elimination of a dissenting foot-dragger that not one of the admirals will complain about consulting, timing, or paperwork. The equivocation doesn't really scan for Irillith or any of the other Lionesses, none of them did anything even close to aiding and abetting the destruction of an entire fleet along with the systematic murder of the survivors. Edit: broke free and missed the appropriate Comment sub-thread.

Donovan Gibson
>>25161093

Tefler's been making very complicated chapters which require a lot of time to cross-check things so that plot holes don't get made. So he's been posting chapters more slowly both due to that and due to a heat wave that hit London and slowed his progress down even more. A new one should be coming out soon so you'll have more up on Lit to read. It's just a dollar per chapter effectively, and even less if you consider that joining now would give you access to all of the previous chapters (1224, 123, 122, and before) without paying more than a dollar if you then have to cancel. He's probably also making sure that his newest chapters don't require him to retroactively change 122, 123 and 124 to keep plot continuity because there's a lot of shit hitting the fan ATM.

Anonymous

The heatwave in England is showing to be over, let's give Tefler time to update us.

Eh, a dollar or two is well worth it for me as I like the interaction here compared to LIT and I think we get more updates from Tef then there.

Big Dude

Personally if Tefler posts 124 by the 31st, Chapter 125 by August 10th and Chapter 126 by August 31st would y'all be crying like you are above?

Anonymous

I'd just like updates as details unfold. Not to be told unrealistic projections that don't materialize on a regular bases. It creates cynicism.

Vincent
>>25168806

Tbf he gave an update, writing a chapter isnt exactly like cooking a recipe, you cant give exact estimates beyond +-1 week, atleast if the quality is supposed to be high

Stuhero

Personally I would prefer to have no projected posting dates, It just causes stress when it does not happen. Better for me to just get updates so I know Tefler is still alive and still writing :) I have become cynical so do not pretend to speak for me.

TF4EVA

Appreciate the updates but really my main focus are the chapters. Given the books and chapters from other writers that I wait for seem to take months or years TSM/Tefler turn around is impressive. Heck some stories/writers I have stopped following because they have not produced. Good thing about patreon if people don't like the wait they can leave and wait somewhere else

William Wallace

I agree with Stuhero, I wil keep on supporting you via Patreon, but wil be waiting till they appear on SOL. There I know the chapter is completely finished

ChrisW

Will they ever use those hoverbikes Dana pimped up?

thomas rodrian
>>25173754

I had forgot about the hoverbikes, but that would be really cool to see the Lionesses on them. Maybe zipping around the battlefield trolling for fish. Have a fishing line hanging off the back with 20 – 30 hooks big enough to punch their bodies.

I have been finding reading the fan comment rather entertaining at this rate we will soon have a fan inspired chapter posted, though editing would be a nightmare. “ Do you have any grey poupon?” John’s father asked hope to patch things up with his boy. John would be “Yes yes I do have grey poupon but you need to lend me your ride if you want it. I need to go to a big fish fry.”

I really dislike it when people do the nudging and commenting and complaining and even demanding to Tefler about his writing schedule. Almost every chapter of this book gets more complex because Tefler is putting together or updating all of the strings in the story and doing it in a such a smooth way that you can miss how difficult it must be to tell a story fully (or simultaneously 100 of them). My favorite chapter is 100 because of its complexity and completeness (and he even took the time a new crew member before decimating the Kintark). Since then most of his chapters are getting more and more complex as he ties more substories and themes. Obviously, each takes more time but the development of the book is just about perfect. Heck, could you dominate two Progenitors and repair the Invictus in a week (writing time)? Let Tef take his time. It is always worth the wait.

Mapper
>>25204086

Oh, and readers should remember that Tef does not possess the powers of John Blake. No psychic and enhanced researchers, assistants, computer geniuses to power his writing. No Faye or Little One. No psychic communication among his helpers. Were Tef to have the powers of John Blake he could dictate to a supercomputer that would translate his outline into chapters in a minute or so, send it around psychically to the whole crew of editors for another two minutes, translate it to Maliri, Kintark, Vulkat, Brimorian, and Trankarian within few minutes, and transmit it to all of women linked to his three matriarchs in another minute or two. It would probably take Irrilith a minute to two to set up a billing and accounting system to process billions of orders Sorry folks, Tef has to do it the old fashioned way.

Wombat

I find it amazing that we see chapter by chapter with so little rewrites. My very limited amount of published fiction had me going back again and again to the early sections to fix problems I created for later. Cudos and hat off to Tef, his editors and a great story board. Love your work team.

Damn. Maybe we should put together a GoFundMe to get Tef an AC unit. I guess it's just a USA thing to assume that homes have AC

Sam

Mud huts in Africa probably don't have them but other than that, I just assumed most places did. It's almost ubiquitous in the US. I know it's a narrow point of view but honestly, it's not something you'd really think about all that often is it? How many houses in the world have electricity? How many have indoor plumbing?

Ricardo Miguel Pereira da Silva

and just for the record... in europe ACs in public spaces yes. every were. in private houses... not so mutch... central heting units for realy cold places for winter. But then again i may be wrong

PLRus--Founding member of the TSM F5 club.

Actually, requirements of AC in homes is mostly within the industrialized countries with more tropical climates above and below the equator. MOST northern States in the US, for instance, do not have AC as they don't need it except for maybe a week or two a year. For example, parts of Minnesota today had a high of 72 in the middle of summer. You cannot justify central air for that. And frankly, as cheap as they are making window units, the condensation does loads of damage to your home due to faulty manufacturing techniques.

PLRus--Founding member of the TSM F5 club.

Air Conditioning is actually as new an invention as automobiles or planes. 1902 for the first AC, 1903 for the first airplane, and 1885 for the first car. Cars and planes caught on faster, mostly due to transportation needs and wars that made them move from luxury items to necessities. AC's remained a luxury for almost 55 years after its invention.

It still is a luxury in most of the world PLRus

The UK has the same latitude as Canada. We get more or less the same weather all year round. Winter is mild and wet, and might freeze one year out of four. Spring is mild and wet, it rains at night and is warm all day. Summer is mild and slightly wet. Autumn is cooler and wetter. It's only been the last 10 years when climate change is really started to bite. We build our homes to be water tight, to keep out the wind, and to retain as much heat as possible.... and for five of the last six years, we've had the coldest, hottest, wettest, driest month/season on record, each month and season... So no. Basically no one has a/c, and basically no houses are set up to take HVAC, because we all have thick insulated walls, and barely adequate central heating, with copper pipes in the walls, wall haunted radiators and double glazing. This country isn't designed for this level of heat

Did England sink into the ocean?

Big Dude

You will not see anything until 12 Midnight east coast time. Guaranteed! So quit your whining and deal with it.

"DO U HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT Mr MillDrew???!!!!"... lol

I do not think he will get the two chapters out in July that he wanted to. Maybe now got normal weather in UK (RAIN, THUNDERSTORMS AND CLOUDY) he will get the two out in August. Still great series love the work great imagination. Cheers all.

there's still 8 hours and 5 minutes for two chapters to drop.....

TranceR

I cancelled my Patronige for a couple months due to iffy chapter scheduling and when I came back I got one chapter. If he said one chapter by so and so date, I'd be happy. Saying a date and uploading a week later is very annoying. Might as well wait on SOL or till he's done with books

As a fan of Fantasy/SciFy/Non-Human stories I have encountered many great writers here in SOL and in Lit. Many of those writers after a while just stop writing in the middle of the story because they burn out, others find themselves trying to meet a posting schedule and as the story develops and gets more complicated their chapters become smaller and smaller or they start loosing detail and quality. Tefler has written a story that is 123 Chapters long with an average of 20k words per chapter on a pretty consistent schedule of 15 to 20 days per chapter. The few times that there has been a delay he has been either sick, dealing with family issues or going on vacation with his kids. So lets remember that our $1, $2 or $5 patronage is not a salary, he doesn't work for us and he is not required to stop his life in order to meet a schedule. I rather wait to get a chapter of Tefler's quality when he is inspired and can concentrate on the story than to get a cookie cutter chapter because he needs to meet a schedule.

Florida Reader

Tefler is one of the most prolific writers I have encountered, producing a high-quality, cohesive, and engaging story. Consider how long fans have waited between George R. R. Martin novels, and how long we have been waiting for his next one. Tefler delivers on a radically accelerated time schedule, with fantastic story and character development. I for one have nothing to complain about, and I will enjoy the next chapter whenever it drops. Keep up the good work, Tefler, and ignore the whining.

Sirloki

Yep, Maybe we should do a GoFundMe for a portable AC? Rather than complaining about his not posting we may want to consider helping him out! :D

I absolutely love this story. I am as invested and addicted to this story more than anything else I have ever read. I realize he’s been writing for several years now, but still I can’t believe this is his first story. I think this would make one hell of an animated web series on some kind of subscription service.

Right on. Note that sometimes (Chapt 100 for example) a double chapter is released. All chapters are so good, it is not rfair to assume two can be written each month.

I have found ice cold beer to be a reasonable coping method for extreme heat for short periods. Though, I have found that productivity goes down.

What do you like to read? Great stories on stories online.com

Vanessa Ravencroft Eric Olafson series is tremendous. She’s currently releasing chapters in book 9 Erica Olafson Journey of the Tigershark. The tale is in the same league of 3SM as Eric slowly becomes the dark one who will determine whether or not to destroy all reality.

I can't figure her books out. Found her on Storiesonline the other evening and in her blog she says what order the books come in. I couldn't find the 1st one listed anywhere, completely mystified about where to start and how to continue from there. So I gave up.

am guessing we'll get the usual last minute - just in time to make monthly numbers submission

Kid Wigger - Flight of the Code Monkey is Fun, Also Mad Wolf - Demigod of War

Nick White

Who cares when he publishes as long as he does , dont rush tefler he always is worth the wait

Dave2282

Matt - Start with Eric Olafson ( EO) Neo-Viking , EO- the first Journey, then EO- fleet cadet, and so on. think the of GC books just populate the GC universe and aren’t directly related to the EO series. Sort of like how Tefler’s Truckstop Takedown populates 3SM universe

Matt

Ok So Eric Olafson Neo is Vol 1, but then it skips straight to Vol 3 (Fleet Cadet), no Vol 2. So I don't really feel comfortable starting if I'm going to miss chunks you know?

Ah so it is. I'll keep an eye on her page and see if she gets all her stories ordered properly. ATM considering trying to navigate that makes me feel uncomfortable for some reason. I mean it's easy to put things in order and it's so much neater to do so, the fact she doesn't... bothers me. Don't know why.

Deryck Stevenson

I don't think tefler is going to make his July deadline for even one chapter never mind the two he was hoping to be able to do. We just have to keep waiting. Boo boo

I think technically patreon goes by US pacific time. If that is the case he still has 8 hours. 🤞

Highly likely he will, according to past evidence: he may not release the chapter until 2-3am Tefler time (which is 9-10pm EDT). If he doesn't make it, he delays getting 5000 dollars by one month, which is quite a strong incentive, in addition to reader expectation. He also normally makes a comment by this time if he does not expect to post a chapter.

Tefler mentioned on Discord that 125 will be about 2 weeks yet.

I'm wondering when all of the little unfinished story-lines will be tied up. For instance the Twins developing telepathy in chapter 88 and unless I've missed it not really mentioned or developed since then. There are others I'm sure that a re-reading of the story will show.

There are a number of story lines that Tefler is working on tying up before the end of the story, but there are others that he plans to leave open for the sequel.

Is this the same author of three square meals?

Rocketman

I may have found an error: “He found himself holding his breath, so he exhaled and focused and keeping his breathing normal.“. Should it be “He found himself holding his breath, so he exhaled and focused on keeping his breathing normal.”
