Hey everyone!

I've finished off the chapter with a bunch of new scenes. I hope you enjoy them!

Please let me know if you spot any typos.

Tefler

P.S. If you want to go directly to the start of the new scenes, just search for the # symbol.

Andrei

My man. I’m so glad to see less of soul searing and toe curling and all the other bullshit you used to add as filler. But why the hell did you switch to sat words instead? “Devereux carries herself with the same indefatigable confidence” Really dude? Was it even slightly necessary? You can just remove all the annoying filler and the story will be just fine. It would be so much more powerful if you used all the fluff sparingly when it’s really needed instead of just padding and padding and padding. Ugh

Emma B

Great! Thank you tefler....

Thank you kind sir!

Thanks Tefler

Thanks Mr. Tefler! Now to go read it to Mr Sparky

cheers mr

Mike Saxion

Oh-my-god!!!! What a great chapter

Andy

So are the new scenes added at the end of (Part 1) of this chapter?

Chimney Squeeze

I think in the past you've added a ?/ Or something like that to denote where the new writing starts. I found that super helpful, maybe you can do that going forward?

TF007

Only typo was there was 64 tachyon cannons for defense grid and not the 60 in chapter 148. Original 500m Invictus had 48 Gatling lasers and when they upgraded to 750m Invictus they had 64 pulse cannons added (Ch 75). Pulse cannons were eventually replaced by Dana’s tachyon cannons after Arcadia before battle with huge kirrix fleet.

TF4EVA

nice and thanks

Thanks for the new chapter just noticed something different the chapters seem to be getting shorter is this the new size?

Thanks, Tefler!

I just added a # symbol so you can easily find the start of the new scenes.

Yeah, it was wearing me down trying to churn out 30k chapters. The word count crept up over time, so it was slowing down the pace of releases. I'm trying to stick to two chapter releases per month from now on, with them spaced roughly two weeks apart.

Evan

Thank you, Tefler!

teresa beasley

I can’t seem to get the link to work, comes up with an error code. Any help greatly appreciated

Evan

Tefler, is this the first time that John has initiated a direct telepathic communication with any of his girls who were *not* his matriarchs? John gave the chortling catgirls a wicked smile. *I’ll deal with you two later.*

Hugh Peeble

In the meeting up with Betrixa it says “Betrixa skipped up the steps, a beaming smile on her first.” Was that supposed to be a smile on her face?

Michael56Smith

.31: Hey there Tef, it seems the sexy cat-girls get you a bit flustered, hence the typos... love this completed chapter, thank you! ;-) TTFN

Johnkr

Glad you are feeling better, I had another round of Covid last week, but it was mild.

jdg45

.33 Errata like they’re an imposter impostor as he felt the unmistakeable sensation unmistakable railing I thought nailing but Google agrees with you... Also if 'toggle formatting marks' is on there are superfluous spaces. Some double spaces in the text and often one or more at the end of sentences. The extra spaces are through most chapters. Readability is not impacted.

Tefler
>>78243014

Thanks for letting my know about the typos. Impostor was an interesting one, as I'd always thought it was spelt with an "e". Apparently both versions are common, but impostor is the official version so I fixed it. :)

Forbsey

Here we go, the governor figured it out 😀 I reckon she'll become their most staunch supporter

BrianM

Thanks Tefler!

Typo - “Sound good to me. I’ll plan....... should probably be: “Sounds good to me. I’ll plan.......

Michael56Smith

.40: On the Invictus's 26-hour journey to the first of the marooned fleets, we have lots of shipboard catching up, especially with the Nymphs. A little more development of the Outer Rim storyline with the governors and the Fleet Admiral; with Luce becoming aware (Eureka moment!) at chapters end. And poor John, having to carry those beautiful, slippery-wet, and delicious cat-girls down the hallway naked, life is so tough sometimes, smh ;-) TTFN

2ndAndrocentric

Superb chapter, the best interchange was between Luna and Edraele of which this excerpt by Luna was my favorite: Luna gave her a knowing look. *I think it more accurate to say that they’re embracing the spirit of impregnation by Baen’thelas.* However, the best part highlights why I find this space opera like some of the ORIGINAL older ones (Dune, Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr Who ect) so in tune with actual human motivations and why over time all those I have mentioned have become Clown world caricatures. When Novitsky (whom I mentioned before would figure out Lynette was a lioness) waits to question Bryce; the "man whore" launches into an explanation of what is actually typical in human biology. While it is not a complete explanation of all human sexual motivations; it is what today can only be whispered lest the "alphabet mafia" and the rest of Clown World erupt in hatred, banning, doxing and the typical "tolerant" response to stating reality. Yes, as Dune states, there's a place that women dare not go, just as Alyssa won't touch the rune blade nor sit at the command chair no matter how spirited she is. OF COURSE these matters can go too far; and in many societies (some which curiously enjoy "protected status" despite their obviously FAR more intolerant actions). I have seen a few other stories on Literotica which do a good job also (clans of Luteri comes to mind) but most are either one extreme of maledom abuse or something else. Tefler here is hitting the right balance of actual normal human sexual dimorphism and motivation. Once again, I can certainly understand why this post will be deleted soon. It does not meet the required groupthink of the tolerant ones. That said, the fact no one needs to urinate in the morning remains the most absurd part of this saga.

Kensyi

Three thoughts on this chapter, first, damn you for ending the Luca scene like that, now I have to wait til next chapter at least, second the pupil thing was great, made me laugh so hard, thirdly, love the ending with the nymphs, love drunk is the best, lastly, I laughed a lot throughout this chapter it was great, thank you Tef.

.51: The good news Kensyi is that Tef should gift us with at least a part 1 of chapter #149 by no later than Feb 28th. So just a week to wait, that's not so bad, is it? ;-) TTFN

.51: You can expect MORE next week David, for I expect that Tef will drop TSM #149, part one on 28th of February. It is a short month, so no way he could finish a complete/whole chapter, but next month has 31 days, so maybe, if he really feels his muse, we may get an entire chapter, complete with a space battle scene, yay! And we will definitely meet the amazing Auralei (the next lioness?) and we (and I mean Dr Rachel) might learn, somehow, the Laranthyran's method for the enthralling billions...and then leave those deserving young ladies a few vats of John's superior psychic cum? ... ;-) TTFN

jdg45
>>78257647

.63 Hi Michael, I have searched and not found a reference to billions of Maliri or Laranthyrans. Although I could have missed it! I did note millions died because of Larn. The only billions is in relation to Terrans being 10 billion plus. However, it does seem logical that the thrall races should have billions. And Rahn believed it would take him 100 years to gain suitable strength. As discussed a few chapters back it depends how small a dose can be. And some recent calculations offered look to be on the low side (ie high volume). It might take a certain volume to enthrall but only one sperm should be needed for pregnancy??

Brian Woods

So…unfortunately I recently began to realize I may have erred in believing the Progenitor empires were bigger than they might well be. Using the current Maliri population as a benchmark was…somewhat foolish. Consider that for 10,000 years the Maliri have had no major wars, with the only conflicts being internal and quite internecine. With no large scale loss of life like a Progenitor War to cull the populace and no Soul Forge to sacrifice thralls, a population boom should be expected. However, if a Progenitor is entirely focused on war with his neighbors, his interstellar domain will be mostly streamlined for battle and conquest. Likely, that would mean his planets, rather than being fully populated by hundreds of millions of everyday citizens, would be resource rich worlds meant to fuel his war machine, and might look more like the Outer Rim sector with 5 or 10’s of millions instead. In fact, his entire population might be no more than a billion lives spread across a hundred or so planets. Then, with 20-50 million thralls providing governmental guidance to the rest, it’s no wonder a planet might fall apart like Auralei’s home, especially if they are the only one’s there.

Newnotsure

Been here since the start lots for filler on this chapter, and past few chapters most of the earliest chapters had more action I think ????. I will come back next month see if the next chapter is ready or when I get a notification from Patreon…… later all

AzureReader
>>78288905

at some point Tef seems to have switched to telling the story as a diary of what happens in nearly every hour in real time for the characters. They have 26 hours of flying through empty space to get to the nearest fleet and that time will take about 20-40K words in the story to get through. To be fair he’s keeping us informed of what’s happening in the Outer Rim, on Genthalas, and in Laranthian space, which is a lot of territory. In that sense he’s really just skimming the surface. But if you’re waiting for some action the travel time really starts dragging on. If you feel like a kid in the back seat asking ‘are we there yet’ every 5 minutes you aren’t alone. Can’t wait for the worm hole generator, but sadly that has a 12 hour charge cycle.

bjcreek

Well done with the Governor and the Fleet Admiral. Thanks for another good chapter...waiting for the next!

jdg45
>>78281071

.72 Thrall populations can be billions. [ch 128] Unlike the billions of Galkirans he ruled over with an iron fist ... So it seems that Gahl will be a very powerful adversary! As Rahn gifted John different war strategies the conflict will be fascinating. So will potential impacts from the shroud.

Johnkr

I am hoping he helps the Laranthians out with their civilization falling apart. If Alyssa started by taking out the matriarch, would that basically take out the progenitor?

Anonymous
>>78305809

Interesting thought, since the Progenitor get their power boost from their Matriarch. But remember, the progenitor has power of their own, but will digress to a blabbering idiot if his power and life force are depleted.

Dads Gonna Kill Me
>>78246683

I always thought at some point Lynnette would reveal herself to someone... Tjought it would be a "The Lionesses will protect Us, Not YOU! (aimed at Lynnette) and then... OH SNAP (as Lynnette deactivates the Holograph), your a LIONESS!!!...

Dominic Janning

Thanks for the # cut off. Made it really easy to find the cut off!

2ndAndrocentric
>>78298286

I'm going to strut around here saying "I called it!" just like I thought the Kyth'shara defenses had to be more than just energy weapons. I hope Novitsky starts her conversation with Lynette with "Howdy Lioness, what can I do you for?" Yes, I am arrogant.

Kensyi

Okay, with the Wormhole Generator, why not have multiple generators so you can switch them out so you wouldn't have the 12 hour down time.

2ndAndrocentric
>>78367106

Same with shields, but perhaps because each one is so massive and requires so many em miters etc that it becomes impracticable. Or maybe they leave some sort of "residue" on the hull that needs time to dissipate? I now expect Captain Obvious come by and point out that this is a Space Opera about a guy with Space Magic semen.

Michael56Smith

.93: With the superior tactical prowess of Lioness Calara, and the totally inept blunderings of the next Asshat the crew will fight (in a space battle!!), I expect the altercation to be completely one-sided as Calara dominates the enemy fleets with her maneuvers and feints. While Calara commands her Maliri Naval forces in their newly requisitioned war fleets! ... I know John wants to develop a way (ways) to defeat the Asshat, and yet still not trash his empire's innocents, but at least a few thralls might have to be sacrificed to get to Gahl'kalgor, or whomever is next up. So, it would be a good use of Kyth'vindathys to lop off an Asshat's head, and this strikes me as a fine game plan. The fun is all about to start again, I can hardly wait! ... ;-) TTFN

Jedi Khan
>>78369009

I don't expect any fleet battles against Thralls to be nearly as one-sided as you think they might be, even with Calara in command. As we saw with the game during the Maliri Civil War, given equal numbers and even a marginal tech advantage, despite Calara winning in the end, it was a pyrrhic victory. With the requisition of Larn's fleets, the Maliri will now have tech parity with Thrall forces rather than being at a severe tech disadvantage. Calara would have to hit the Thrall forces with superior numbers in order to compensate and win battles with minimal losses.

Michael56Smith

.99: A possible kill the AIC (Asshat-In-Charge) task force could consist of: John and Sakura, also Jehanna and Helene, with Jade, Ailita and Leylira to watch their backs, also with some long-distance help from Edraele feeding Helene eldritch power as well as a steady stream of loving emotions (courtesy of the Young Matriarchs), ... I know, no Helene in combat, but she is there to save thrall lives. To disarm and to bust their armor open, and to totally confound them, buying John time. ;-) TTFN

Michael56Smith

.100: A huge Tef maybe!: I would like to see Dana adapt the Worm-Hole generator to be useful as a teleport / transporter (yeah Sparks and her old sci-fi shows), ... Then John can beam into the Asshat's Dreadnought and drain and fillet him in moments, ... he then gains a new Matriarch and a new thrall kingdom to look after, ... Baen'thelas what-a-guy! ;-) TTFN

Michael56Smith
>>78377284

.102: Also, on Dana's thousand item to-do list, a device to block, or at least greatly reduce the effectiveness of an Eldritch Inhibitor. Just to avoid any surprises for John's girls, ... ;-) TTFN

Dads Gonna Kill Me

I want Dna to kill a Progenitor... to literally Put a black Hole in his forhead... then POP! no more Progenitor...

Michael56Smith
>>78399124

.108: You are sounding just a little bloodthirsty there James, but I can't fault you for wishing the worst for those evil Asshats and having Dana use one of her mini-black holes is a nice touch. ;-) TTFN

Carcharias

If John decides to claim the Larathyran empire and add Aurelei as the local Matriarch, he’ll need to adopt a more industrial means of adding women to his network. Ailantha’s comment to Larn’kelnar about no longer filling the vats, combined with Aurelei’s comment about a coming of age ceremony implies that there is already a method in place where women do a shot of spunk to be added to the network. John already needs to figure this out to address the Maliri gender imbalance. There are billions of Maliri on hundreds or thousands of worlds and he’s healed a little over a thousand women. That doesn’t create sustainable numbers.

Michael56Smith
>>78426256

.111: Yes Jeff, our Tef has created a universe with huge numbers of women in desperate need, and our white knight (John) must ride to their rescue, but against those numbers, multiple billions, what is the answer(s)? ;-) TTFN

Michael56Smith

.112: A bit of speculation here: If Larn'kelnar, on his Dreadnought, had a number of empty storage vats for his 'thrall' juice, and perhaps he did continue to fill some of them before he said f**kit! who needs this, I'm never going back, ... there might be a few filled cum vats still on Rahn'hagon's Dreadnought even now, ... would this be useful to the Laranthyrans? Must it be from a living, breathing Progenitor? Or can the cum form a new network and be transfered to John? Tef should really address a few of these possibilities soon, .... ;-) TTFN

Ryan Smith

So will John be able to help out the Laranthyrans before the genetic hatred from the Maliri twins kills them all, also can John have two thrall races?

TF4EVA

I'd also like to know where is dad and mum right now?

Robster

Perhaps mum and dad can learn how to rule in a correct way the Laranthyran empire and coöperate with John and the Maliri ??

Robster

Now the Laranthyran Empire is without soldiers there cant be any fighting or feeding Xar.. but Laranthyra can be ruled again and florish.... while Rahn can adjust his attitude

2ndAndrocentric

What was Jade's original name? Now that the memories have been cleared, is that gone forever?

Carmina.burana123

Hello tefler I will no longer use patreon because they're blocking ukrainian aid. Is there an alternative way I can support you and get your stories still?

Carmina.burana123

That's too bad. I love this story and i love this series but i cannot support the slaughter of other ppl at this cost

Christopher Miller

I'd like to bring up the possibility of Calara's traps for Progenitor fleets including the mothballed Maliri defensive stations that have been mentioned a few times. The sister stations to Genkiri, Genyia, etc. that haven't been used in millennia due to the shrinking Maliri population. I thought the couple of times that Tef mentioned them he was merely emphasizing how badly the Maliri had deteriorated. Now I think he might have been setting the scene for a nasty ambush for an invading Progenitor. What do you guys think?

Tefler

I've nearly finished chapter 149, but I have a few thousand more words to go and want to wrap up a couple of important scenes. I should be finished tomorrow.

jdg45

.155 Hi Tefler. Excellent news and I look forward to ch149. If you need funds, as 149 is now 'free', I suggest post a short chapter for 150. While not ideal, and a once off, it will get around the disliked half chapter issue as well as complaints about advance funding! The cliff hangers will be agonising! And if we know a post is likely during a particular week each month I am sure readers will be happier. Would be perfect to get back to a full chapter release each month :)

Christopher Miller

Looking forward to the new chapter! Just do what you have to and don't push yourself to hard if you are still recovering 🙂

TF4EVA

Look forward to 149. I remember the days of chapters being 1-2 pages long and they came like john - thick and fast. As the characters developed and the story became more complex we needed more context and hints between action points... sigh could we ever go back to more simple, direct and action oriented chapters?? I doubt it, but if it will help you meet schedule and keep well, maybe just maybe as we march to a couple of crunch points 150 and 151 could be more stripped back and raw???? But then again I'll take anything and be grateful.

TF007

Hi Teffler, i'm a great fan of you and TSM such that i had paused reading the latest publications in favor of a 2nd lecture of TSM. Now resuming the lecture of chapter 148 and wondering what is or has happening with the many sideplots (brimorian campaign, the traitor, the Karron survivors, kintark empire, trankaran republic, etc). I loved to read about the sideplots as these stories presented a refreshing break and cooldown from all the magic that John's crew was going through hihi. So wondering if you are thinking about continuing any of the sideplots? cheers and enjoy your time off
