I'm currently thinking about commissioning some artists to do some pictures for the site.

If i do so, what kind of thing are you interested in seeing? (Or not!)

Comments

Nikolai

Yes. Especially the spacecraft.

Dragonkain

Would be really interestingood to see some artist interpretations of themy all. Especially some of the other races to see if my brain has been picturing them right.

Kuurdc

chose them all, but not the last ;P

David Shmilowitz

spacecraft with tech specs would be extra awesome. (weapon listings, top speed, armor durability, etc)

LostSoul

+100 for David...

Robert P Heck

Spacecraft and Crew, space battles and armed combat at some point.

Glenquaro

Seeing "Play the Game" would be great, I loved the idea, but trying to imagine it in 3D space kinda hurt my brain.

Kanashimu

Only if the art is good.

Bloods

The girls in casual cloths and the spaceship would be neat.

Crescent Sunrise

For some SFW scenes, I'd like to see a picture of the crew all crowded in, maybe like a pseudo selfie pic.

Crescent Sunrise

Some NSFW work that would be great would be Dana's first roleplay as cheerleader (especially the aftermath). And Calara's first loss in the gym with John (chapter 25 if I'm recalling it correctly).

Pete Kelly

Forget actual graphic copulation and BJs but the women would be good to see I think the space craft are cool too I also like to see the view from the control room

bigdawguw65

Love to see what the scenes are where the action happens . Interiors of the Fools Gold & Invictus (& not just the bed room :-) ) Olympus & Genthalas , Underworld , the Underground battles with The Fulmanax & the Dragon etc.

Thetues

Love the idea for tech spec ship illustration.

Lord Winter

I agree with the majority of respondants here... Ships, Armored and unarmored character pics, but keep the adult material for the story.

Warren Thomas

but be careful with pictures of the girls while their slut with John that's ok fine but they read classy the pic on the other site look like girl from tits a bobbing or page 3 Sun or those other classless mags if u need head shots of a red head I know were to find mouth dropping pics, I like redhead women they r only 2% or less of the population

Felipe Andrade

Art of fantasy characters can go wrong in so many ways...

Morningfrost

I voted for the spacecraft, and the SFW pictures of the cast, both armoured and unarmoured. Oddly enough, despite the nature of this story, I'm not really all that interested in seeing the cast actually having sex. ~Morningfrost

Mac

The real question in my mind is - what are John and the Invictus crew going to do with their 4 day weekend?! (Context for those outside the UK - this weekend has bank holidays either side of it)

CJ Mora

I voted for the NSFW, but not necessarily sex pics...more like sexy, tasteful art, more like aircraft nose art or Olivia nudes would be nice. Also pics of the alien races would be great, or action art of the team at work (Invictus bridge during a battle or John with his sword) would be really cool.

JBVandal

No option for "all of the above"? Seriously though, there are a few ideas for art commissions that I've been thinking would be cool to see for a while now: First, is full art pieces of the girls in their "natural environments", Dana in the engineering bay, Faye on the bridge, Calara in the gym, Jade in the pool, etc. SFW or NSFW would depend on the character and setting - Dana or Irillith would presumably be wearing clothes while pursuing their interests, while Jade in the pool or Faye hanging around the bridge would likely be nude. Still, these would probably be relatively tasteful even if there's nudity. The point is to show the characters as themselves, not to be porn. If it helps keep commissions affordable, I could also see these done with pairs instead of individual girls - Dana & Rachel hanging out, Irillith & Faye on the bridge, Calara & Sakura sparring, etc. Second, would be a full spread of all the girls nude on the big bed together, arranged according to seniority, the way they generally arrange themselves for sleeping around John. Third, some proper schematics for the Invictus & Raptor with full deck plans would be really nice to have as a reference.

Jedi Khan

If we're talking stuff that will actually be posted on the site for "public" viewing, I'd go with the top three. The fourth option, the NSFW pics, I would suggest not posting to the site itself, because I check here quite a bit from work, like I'm sure others do, and well...NSFW is an appropriate acronym. For the NSFW stuff, I would suggest sending it privately to the patrons as a reward or something. So, with that disclaimer out of the way, while portraits of the characters and ships would be nice, it would also be pretty cool to get some action scenes done up, like John and Clara/Sakura sparring, the Invictus in action, the fight against Kindralax, that sort of thing.

peter tamas

if there was an online 3d drawing package...could open contribution to patrons

Xentian

I reckon some artwork of the major space battles the crew has fought would be cool, alyssa and john vs kintark broodmother would be particularly awesome!

Jedi Khan

Oh-oh! Here's an idea! Do a movie poster style piece featuring John, the girls, the Invictus, the Progenitor Black Ship, etc.! The old Star Wars movie posters would be pretty neat to use as inspiration.

David Johnson

John and the girls with their armor and judgement rifles in hand would be cool

someone somewhere

One of the things I enjoy so much about 3sm is that John could be 'Godlike' but instead he supports the girls and comes off as a more down to earth 'human.' The girls are not the classic bimbo and John does not want bimbos. Nor does he slave/sell/demean/prostitute out the women in the story. He views them like a family. To show the SFW casual/selfie/armor/ship in a way that honors John's choices in turn honors the spirit of the story. Family shots. Silly, playful, fun, even a bit sexy in a way that is respectful. To show the NSFW side would be fun but would have to be done very carefully lest you loose a lot of what makes 3sm special. You can tell from this how I voted :P

David Shmilowitz

also, in addition to seeing tech spec'd art of the story spaceships from all civilizations, maybe an over time art showing the evolution of the invictus from base spec art, to black armor spec art, then white armor spec art, etc.

Wookey

Btw Tefler, how is Ch 76 coming along.

Kuurdc

1500$ baby :P

xd

Yea 1500$ !

DaveC

$1,500 goal per chapter reached! Fantastic news, Tefler, and well done to you. Congrats

FngTash

Gonna hold you to that quitting the job and writing more ;)

Wookey

Well done Tefler. You deserve your success.

bigdawguw65

Congratulations.....Very well deserved

Folks, Tefler cannot stop working at 1500 because a lot of those donations have a monthly limit so while it may be $1500 for the first chapter it may very well only be $500 for the second and third chapters. He needs consistent $4,500 months or better to really meet his goal. But yes, congrats are due. ESPECIALLY when he originally thought he would only get a dozen or so Patrons.

Robert P Heck

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! I'm glad to help support a superior writer and great person.

Zain1284

congrats tefler, happy for ya.... hopefully some incentive to kick out 76 a little faster lol.

Jedi Khan

Congrats on $1500, Tef! Time for a reaction post, and also to give some thought as to what the next goal should be. Maybe at $2000, you'll find a manga artist to start making this into an illustrated novel, and then from there an anime?

Ben Linus

Congratulations Tefler for achieving $1500 goal

Ziggy

Congrats on 1500 Tef!

Terra_Lupis

While it would be nice to see the crew's sexual antics, it would be nicer to focus on the areas that don't receive as much attention. Which is why I that what would be actually really interesting is for first of all to have the ships initially released as Blueprints and then an action/ story scene shot of them (For example, Blueprint of Fool's Gold, followed by a shot of Fool's Gold closing in on the Pirate's ship where they first meet Calara, next I would have the blueprint of the Invictus before and after the initial refit (changing from military to trader/mercenary vessel) and so on and so forth). I would also say the same for the portraits of the girls with a before/after picture to start off with. What would actually be great is if you worked with the artists to such a degree that you worked the pictures into the story; possible story tie in would be that a conglomerate of galactic artists got together and put together a package of pictures together to celebrate the crew of the Invictus' achievements and a small token of gratitude.

Brutus

Best 25 bucks I've spent in a lot time.
