Doing a mini-animation each month instead of a longer one has been a nice break from the big, stressful animations, but there's no denying that they don't have the same oomph that a big animation with an actual climax, so to speak. Also I do lots of mini-animations otherwise so it does kinda just feel like "Hey here's one more". I mean, I like them, but maybe it's time to switch things up a bit. I can't go back to doing a huge animation every month, that was killing me. But, I'm considering spending the time I'm currently putting in each month working on a big animation instead, so that we would end up getting a big satisfying animation once ever handful of months instead of a mini each month. Pros and cons- biggest con, you have fewer opportunities to suggest an animation as it would only come up every few months, whenever I manage to get one done. If I were to guess, it would be somewhere between 2 and 4 a year depending on complexity. (You'd still be suggesting the content of the painting every month though!) Yeah, that doesn't sound like a lot, but that's just how much more time a big animation takes up. If my goal is not to go back to grinding away most of my month every month on animating, that's how it gotta be!Pros- well, the return of big filthy animations! If less frequent, anyway. An important note- this isn't only about what you want, but also about what you're willing to support. If everyone likes the idea of seeing bigger animations again great, but if everybody then turns around and leaves until they think big animation suggestions are due again, there's not much incentive for me to stick with it is there? :PSo, be honest! Do you like the idea of getting to put in suggestions for occasional big fancy animations at the expense of the little ones (and will you stick around for that), or should we just stick with what we've got so you get to see a wider variety of stuff and get to try your luck more often? There's a poll here but feel free to discuss if you've got thoughts to share!

I think, if it works for your patreon schedule, you should just choose, maybe on the votes you can do something like a tag (Long) or such, that will require more time, and if that wins you can do it at a slower pace than the short ones, so you're not stuck into a single kind and have some more flexibility :3

I agree with Kammy here. In the end, you’re the one who has the final decision on how you want your content made. Sure, we’d all love to see more long animations, but none of us want you to overwork yourself! I think a long animation every few months is reasonable enough where you feel you’ve given us great content without costing you your sanity.

Ultimately, like Kammy said, I think doing what -you- want to do at any given time is the best move. Both the short loops and the longer animations have their places, and if you feel up for one more than another at any given time, then you should have the power and freedom to specify as such! I think doing 6 month long animations is great, your scenarios and situations are so complex and detailed that they are WELL worth the wait. But by the same merit, smaller, easier and quicker pieces are also great! So if you can't choose between one or the other... Be flexible with both!

i really prefer your under-15 second animations because they convert nicely to GIF (not really a webm guy, i'm nostalgic for bayer matrices), and they make great animated wallpapers for my android and desktop. the minute long ones end up being so big that they crash stuff.
