So in the previous episode with Isobel, there was the human guy that killed Isobel's childhood friend that Elena visited, and then later when he found Elena and told her Isobel didn't want to be found. He kept saying to her "do you understand?" and Stefan told Elena he was compelled, and Elena answered the guy and said "I understand." Then the guy said "I'm done now" and stepped in front of a truck, and made sure to do it in front of Elena then as well. So compelling humans to kill themselves when they were "done" with their tasks is something Isobel did, and here Klaus is just using her own tactics against her

So there's no bases just having fun here. Klaus has a high level of compulsion the originals have like a higher level of mind control then the average vampire. Klaus can make Isobel confess her reel feelings about Elena . An then have her end her life . Was Isobel strong enough to resist Klaus an let the emotions turned on Isobel show real emotion towards Elena. We will never know .

You can't un invite a vampire once they are invited .but you can give ownership of the house to someone new An compele the owner to not invite anyone in the house . Or they sign ownership of house back to Elena . Which might make the house protected against all vampire . That last theory is a guess .
