Damon not fist to give you a watered down version of himself . He is going to be himself . Not hold nothing back . An Elena has a chance to judge Damon for who he really is . Stefan is trying to stay on good behavior. He has to really work hard to not cross that line. Damon is unapologetically him . That's the difference between Stefan . Elena hasn't met the real Stefan . She met the good Stefan who took a long time to change because he was so bad .

That was the first great line by Klaus to me . Elijah we were once human . Klaus that was too long to matter . Love is a vampires greatest weakness . I actually agreed with Klaus . Elijah been right by his side . Going along with everything. If they villains be villains Elijah having a change of heart all of a sudden for Katherine. Knowing she don't really care about anyone . It's was a waisted weak spot by Elijah. Katherine a pro at manipulating brothers.

When was Stefan "so bad exactly?" If you're gonna bring up his ripper side, then I'd suggest for you rewatch the show. The Stefan you're seeing is who he is at his core. His ripper days happened because he couldn't control his bloodlust. All the terrible things he did were because he couldn't control himself; whereas Damon does all the messed-up shit he keeps doing because he revels in being evil. That's the difference between the two brothers. Saying "Stefan is trying to stay on good behavior" is certainly a choice.
