Damon will protect Elena at all cost . He won't let her die . Klaus using her in a ritual is not her choice it's Kluases choice . He's the one dangering her life . I just think Elena being in highschool her deciding to end her life to save her friends is something she to young to decide . She hasn't lived enough life to make that kind of decisions. Elena parents or Jenna nobody would want Elena to die . They would probably agree with Damon . Except for believing Bonnie can defeat Klaus . Damon really is the strongest resistance to fighting off the bad guys . An protecting the town . Stefan isn't strong enough to protect the town . That's just a heroes burden . They alone make the hard difficult decisions .

When Damon gave Elena his blood I was like go Damon save Elena . He trying to save her . That's a good guy thing . Are we in the Kluas an the villians or the good guys . Damon is on our side . He's the leader of the group . Team Damon all day

I didn't think I would be blocked here of all places for saying ignoring consent was not a good guy thing to do lol. Also for anyone who is curious, I am a Damon fan. I just recognize he has flaws, and that if this weren't a fictional show and he weren't a vampire, I wouldn't like him at all and he would have to be in prison.

Completely understand! I hope we did a decent job of explaining our thoughts on this, too. The fantasy elements woven into this show, plus it being a fictional situation, provides enough space to see Damon’s growth and become a fan of him later down the road. This wouldn’t be the same as someone experiencing this in real life with a real person! Consent in any situation is super, super important. 💚

This might be one of the first important Elena reveals in this series. 1. Before Damon gives Elena his blood she tells him something important when he tells her I can't lose ya. She looks him dead in the eyes and tells him you won't. 2. On top of the mountain she is telling all of us how she feels the girl has dated Stefan what 4 to 6 months after break up with Matt she tells Stefan I might want to get married and have kids someday sorry but she is thinking past Stefan here. 3. She then looks at him and tells him I know I love you Stefan but she clearly still has love for Matt and others but she didn't say I know I am In love with ya Stefan. Big difference she also brings up Damon doesn't really know what love is neither do I. Interesting thing to say is admitting to all of us watching she isnt thinking that way about him lets not forget she is 17 year old high-school kid who has a crush on Stefan day one. Just saying 😌 so did Caroline. Its normal high-school behavior right ? Elena basically told us she isn't in love with Stefan here loves him isn't In Love & Damon will never lose her. Um interesting 🤔

After the events of season 3 with the witches and Esther I don’t think the potion would have worked. Since the witches created the curse for balance I kind of wonder if the witches would have actually created a potion to disrupt that balance of nature. I’ve watched this show it feels like 100 times now and doing a re-watch this year that realization just came to me.
