The Titan Sloth

The Titan Sloth is one of the deadliest creatures native to the few dense rainforests of Nareth. Despite their generally peaceful demeanor, these massive creatures become nearly unstoppable once provoked or threatened.

Standing at an astonishing 17 feet (5.2 meters) tall and weighing over 9,000 pounds (4,082 kilograms), their sheer bulk and strength make them formidable opponents; even for apex predators like the Great Narethian Bear.

For reasons you will soon find out, I fondly refer to these animals as the "Crash-out Sloths".

Typically lethargic, Titan Sloths spend most of their time in a state of rest, scavenging vegetation and carcasses to sustain their massive bodies.

However, when agitated, their bodies flood with adrenaline, transforming them into terrifyingly aggressive combatants.

It's during these crack-head episodes that they have been known to easily overpower and kill the Northern Coast Bears that dare to challenge them, using the defeated predators as nourishment to replenish their energy.

You will never worry about accidently stumbling into a Titan Sloth, as you'll smell them far before you even lay eyes upon them.

Their slow-moving, sedentary lifestyle leads to a natural accumulation of grime, shit, and decay in their thick and shaggy fur produce the the overwhelming odor associated with Titan Sloths.

This strong sewer smell alone is often enough to deter predators -even before considering their absolutely massive size- although juveniles are frequently targeted due to their vulnerability before reaching full maturity. This is the only point in the Titan Sloth's life, that they must worry for predators.

Their diet specifically consists of fallen fruit, lush vegetation, and the carcasses of deceased animals. Those carcasses are the main reason why the Titan Sloth would ever get in a fight, as the predator that brought the prey down would naturally be pissed about doing all the work only to get it stolen.

Despite their size, they are surprisingly adept diggers, utilizing their 17 inch-long claws to carve out extensive underground burrows for shelter, hibernation, and the protection of their young. They also scratch the shit out of the walls of their burrows to maintain the sharpness of their claws.

These big boi's walk with their palms inverted to protect their claws, similar to anteaters. Their thick, stubby tails provide balance and propulsion, letting them rear up on their hind legs and deliver devastating downward claw slashes.

During the cold months, Titan Sloths enter a state of hibernation, relying on their dense, oily, smelly as fuck fur for insulation.

The Titan Sloth is one of the very few creatures on the planet capable of standing its ground against a V'era.

Speed: Capable of short bursts up to 25 miles per hour (40 km/h) when agitated

Diet: Omnivorous (primarily herbivorous ((that means its a salad eater)) with scavenging tendencies((that means they eat dead shit)))

Habitat: Dense jungles/rainforests.

Behavior: Usually docile but highly aggressive when provoked. Like crash-out aggressive.

Natural Predators: None in adulthood; juveniles targeted by predators.

Moresainean Hell Pig

This spawn from Hell is a ferocious and invasive species of boar with long tusks capable of skewering prey.

Known for their aggressive and territorial nature, they dominate open plains, forests, mountainous terrain, and the desert, making them a persistent threat to humans and other animals alike.

Upon reaching adulthood (which is fortunately rare due to their violent lifestyle), they can stand at an imposing 6 feet (1.8 meters) at the shoulder and weigh nearly 1,700 pounds (750 kilograms), the Hell Pig is a relentless omnivore that will consume almost anything it encounters.

Its voracious appetite and high reproductive rate has made it one of the most invasive species in Nareth.

It has come to the point neighboring territories, tribes, and nations blame each other for the Hell Pig, much like with Syphilis, which was known in several countries by the name of their neighbouring, often hostile country.

• The English, the Germans, and the Italians called it "the French disease", while the French referred to it as the "Neapolitan disease".

• The Dutch called it the "Spanish/Castilian disease".

• To the Turks it was known as the "Christian disease", whilst in India, the Hindus and Muslims named the disease after each other.

For the Hell Pig, the names follow a similar trajectory:

• "Argentian Pig-Dog"

• "Moresainean Hell Pig"

• "Swainean Andearippo"

• "Beautrixean Mother"

• "Sankri Boar"

To control their rampant spread, people have taken to hunting them on sight, often targeting the young first to curb population growth.

The list of primary predators of the Moresaine Hell Pig are few.

One is the Great Narethian Bear, which engages in brutal conflicts over territory and resources. The aftermath of such battles are usually the spoils of the Titan Sloth.

The other, is humanity itself.
