Discussion Around Social Media and KaE (Patreon)

OKAY! Now I said i was gonna give myself a two day break, BUT I'm technically not writing KaE specifically!

I wanted to share these thoughts and be transparent with you beautiful people. Keep you in the loop and all that. Have a say, comment, and share thoughts if you want; cause I can't do anything without yall <3

Anyways, since we are nearing the 100k public release, (and my return to social media engagement((I am terrified)) I would like to discuss social media and my participation in it (and I NEED to participate in it) and how I can make it possible to include those of you who don't use platforms such as Tumblr (which gave really interesting results lol).

Let's go down the poll results.

Patreon and Discord:

This is very interesting.

Patreon is by far the winner in terms of participation if combining the two halves.

People that primarily use Patreon, use Patreon more (no duh) but people who can use either are more inclined to use Patreon as well.

What does this mean going forward?

PATREON: I will be using Patreon primarily for content distribution. I will also use the Patreon chatbox feature more often. There will also be a new post that shall act as a "Thread" every month for readers to discuss things as a community, where you can also ask questions that i will answer if able. I'll give it three months, so if you think it is a good idea, engage with it! I'll be trying my best to provide consistent updates so yall have shit to talk about lol! I will also add the entire wiki i wrote to the Lore Collection and have it set at the Silver Wolf Tier as an added benefit for my supporters there!

DISCORD: Discord will be kept the same, though any plans that I had to use it for content distribution will be shelved. You can still ping me for questions there and the like, talk to me there, or even join me on Voice Channel (you dont have to have a mic!) when I'm writing. Think of that as office hours where you can come in lmao

Tumblr:

Again, very surprising.

People are very clearly divided between Forum vs Tumblr, as we'll see in the next section of where people found KaE.

What does this mean going forward?

Thanks to these insights, I was thinking of simply screenshotting interesting asks + answers and putting those posts in a Patreon Collection to make it easy for you guys to shuffle and look through. I'd also provide a link to the OG post and ill be asking for you guys to like and reblog it so it could help me with outreach. The post's titles would be a quick summary of the question or answer. I really think this would be great for people unused to Tumblr! Also great for me cause then I could keep all answers in one location for easy access haha ;D

Of course, I'll be doing the same for any interesting Forum questions and answers I give out; with the associated links of course.

The KaE tumblr blog will undergo a change as well, especially the main pinned post that gets shared around the most. It'll include the new main RO paint art, and again, I'll be asking for your guys' help in reblogging it for outreach! I've done alot of research regarding Tumblr social engagement, and I really need your help to boost KaE visibility!

Where did you first encounter KaE?

Well damn, Discord is only good for communities already gathered lmao!

Seriously this was a really big dayuuuum for me.

What does this mean going forward?

I think I'm one of the biggest wip projects in the forums and have name recognition there, so I don't really have to focus on engagement in that area beyond answering questions and discussions as usual. However, Tumblr is an area ripe for investing in. For me, this means I'll be focusing on spreading KaE's name in Tumblr and doing lots of engagement there, and I know there's a sizable contingent here who don't use it (hence the Tumblr Collection that I'll create to make it easy for you guys to shift through). However, there's an even bigger cohort who do use Tumblr, and lots of readers that still don't know of KaE. So make a Tumblr account if you can, and reblog/like whatever you want/can!

Why must I do this?

I want to focus 100% on KaE and not have to work another job while I do that. I want to be a writer! And I need your support to be able to live off that dream.

I wrote 66k for the KaE wiki

I wrote 24k for Saldwin's interactive side story.

I wrote 10k for the Patron Saint mini-game.

I wrote 60k for the first demo of KaE.

I wrote 12k for the Adelina side story.

I wrote 308k for the main demo of KaE.

I wrote 83k for the current demo of KaE.

That is over 563k words in total (if my math is right- im a writer not a mathematician lmao).

And who knows how much I have written in my personal notes lmao

I did all that while going to school and having a job!

Imagine if I was able to do this full time! ;-;

Now, I wont even deny it, a majority of that was misfocused writing! And it hurts to say it.

The point is, I can write.

In fact, i think im addicted to it. I fucking love it.

Help me with my addiction, and I will write worlds for you.

Anyways, ima be cheating on my break day while I shuffle things around in the Patreon and begin creating collections, adding/deleting tags to make shit easier to find, and add in the wiki collection here for you guys. I'll be careful to not set the post to ping you in the emails lol, but if it does please dont set the notifications to off ;-;

THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN FOR YOUR VALUABLE AND NEEDED SUPPORT!!! IT IS SO SO APPRECIATED

I literally wouldn't be able to pursue this dream without you guys!!!
