February Progress Report IV: Working hard, so i can please u (Patreon)

I have had a HELL of a week.

Not getting my citizenship. (fuck you passive aggressive mexican government woman who gave me an attitude cause i wasnt lamiendo huevos cause I have self fucking respect)

Didnt have internet for a whole fucking week. (FINALLY GOT IT!!! I AM UNCHAINED ONCE MORE)

Kept getting distracted by visiting relatives (love you guys but ya need to understand im trying to write here <3)

Cured walls of lingering mold just in case cause i didnt know that was a fucking thing since im a desert boy and we dont have that shit back in Arizona

And now im having to get used to a wet heat, which, HOLY SHIT i was not prepared for. (I am suffering humid temps to give a more realistic description for when MC goes south)

Alrighty, that's enough about me. Let's get to the shit yall actually give a fuck about.

After last week's fuckery, the relations have visited, the internet has been installed, and now waiting for the delivery of documentation that'll take at least a month or so, I now have the peace of space and time to get on KaE proper.

Throughout all that mess however, i was somehow able to sneak in 7k(+?) words!

Lemme show what ive been able to put together thus far:

 We begin the West exploration, with some differing opinions on how it'll go.

Sadly though, Ronnel and Triel have to leave us to prepare the area for our arrival. Guards need to be alerted and on the look out, after all. We can choose how to send them off

Some more choices, some more conversation and the like happens. You arrive, and find yourself going to the elevated veranda platform with the rest of the well to do blue bloods, after all you can't exactly mingle with the mob.

The philosophers are in the middle of a debate when you arrive, and the topic is one thatll rear up it's head time and again in KaE is discussed But, as the debate goes on Sir William needs to go on the lower floor to see what the ruckus is.

After some time passes, Amina and Zera need to use the restroom, and Gane teleports behind the group to escort them (because he doesnt trust Amina to not get into shenanigans). However, Zera asks a startling question (he got used to Imperial plumbing)

After they leave (with a brief appearance of Lady Valerie to escort Princess Amina so Gane could escort Zera) you get up to get some water because I said so, and in doing so, you bump into one of the greatest political firebrands in KaE, Baraka Ezana, future Master-Scholar and founder of Nareth's Legalist school of thought. You may easily think of him as Nareth's version of Shang Yang, the one responsible for Qin's meteoric rise in the Warring States Period in Ancient China.

Right now? He's the loving husband of Master Feren's daughter Leksha and part of Master Feren's retinue, as one of his students. He's full of ideas but still inexperienced.

Anyways, he bumps into us, and he has different scenes depending on your skin tone

 The total amount of words dedicated to the various differences is almost 1,400 words.

After some conversation with his wife, and a brief introduction to the marvel that is brown sugar (imported from the east of the Sankri continent that Jelaytha has trade contacts with), Baraka asks you the same question the philosophers downstairs are arguing about.

 "...what do you suppose gives true power?"

Each answer will have a different scene play out as everyone else returns from what they were doing, including Master Feren who may get into an argument with his son-in-law. Everyone else will voice their own thoughts, especially Zera who will be vehemently opposed to Baraka's thoughts.

This update, and the end of this path, shall release by the end of today, 12 hours from now! (just to give myself some breathing room lmfao)
