March Progress Report I: 165k words thus far since November! (Patreon)

Sup guys, just wanted to let everyone know where we are in the Great Rewrite word count. Total is now 165k!

Which...

Damn that's alot in so short a time lmfao

I've just finished the East exploration route in its entirety, which clocked in at just over 10k words.

There we move about the massive cafeteria tent to get a bite to eat for lil bro Aurelian:

We watch as the people of Argent and Jelaytha mix and mingle, exchanging more than just words. There's an exchange of food as well!

(You may notice i was watching Monster Hunter Wilds clips when I was writing a certain segment lmfao)

And we also notice some Jelaythans pushing their products quite hard:

We wander through the tables as we hear different gossip and rumors happening about, and perhaps meeting people that'll play much more bigger roles in the future!

Or... we can sit with the boys and listen to Master Feren give us a taste of Kin history/mythology!

The above presents you with the opportunity to listen to guards, nobles, merchants, laborers, priestesses, and sex workers. At least for the first two choices. The third choice, give you the chance to see Templars, a Belthean ambassador, and for OG readers who may know why its a big deal, our first look at a Kayzackian.

Lots of hints, foreshadowing, and characters will show up here... including plot points that will 100% impact the kingdom as time goes on.

That's all i want to share about the most current update.

As for the exploration paths,

 Only south remains now.

South should arrive MUCH faster as it is a mostly linear experience.

It deals with the execution of Lord Trendel, and we get to take either Amina or Zera with us when we sneak away. We'll learn more about either's own philosophy, mindset, and beliefs as children before we go our separate ways and meet again YEARS later, upon which you may find those beliefs changed with time.

I'll be implementing that letter system so that we can receive communications from them as we progress through the story. We'll also see the dynamic between Uriel and Adelina when it comes to these types of events, and watch how they struggle against one another even though they love each other. One is an Imperial Princess brought up in one of the most dangerous environments imaginable, brought up with a people who can't tolerate anything less than sheer unemotional ruthlessness.

Stoicism is a Belthean trait.

Uriel meanwhile was brought up differently, even with a distant father, he was able to experience close companionship with the children of his father's allies, and the Argentians are far more freer in their emotions, and displays of affection of dissatisfaction.

The blood runs hot in the children of the north, after all.

West released on Feb 27, and East released today in completion about two weeks later... im really sorry about that guys. I'm needed to help around in the daytime, but the house here is really close to being finished, and all the remodel work should end on Tuesday.

Thus finally being able to free up my day for KaE, as ive been working on it when the contractors leave around 8pm until I sleep around midnight.
