This choice is not just a visual thing, as the story will change a bit depending on the costume they wear, since there will be a bit of roleplay involved, and being a sexy maid is not the same as being a little bunny, haha.

I really think the "less is more" saying fits well here when it comes to the amount of skin shown. The maid costume, I think, is just too skimpy.
