The McMansion Hell Yearbook: 1981

Hello everyone! We return to the great state of Illinois (where I live) to bring you this wonderful time capsule from DuPage County (where I don't live but have ridden my bike.) There is actually much more house to get through than in the usual McMansion Hell post so Iet's not waste time with informalities.

This is the house that made me join Patreon. I went to the listing (provided in the above comments, thank you so so so much) and I need to know, what is the thing in the 4th picture? The wine country arches on the patio overlooking the asian religion fusion garden, on the left side of the house, there is a stone covered pillar with a small gazebo on top? What? Why? Looking in the interior pictures, it can't be the chimney with a fancy hat on it because the triple-face-fireplace is squarely in the center of the house and the pillar gazebo is not.

This was a house so heinous that I had to sub to gawk at its horrors. I am reminded of the words of Kitty Horrorshow: "When a house is both hungry and awake, every room becomes a mouth." Side note, I color tinted the carpet of the cookie monster room to a meaty red and was disturbed. Woof.
