Here's the first 2500 words of a story set in the Halo universe that I'm working on in collaboration with Rube, featuring his character 'Alba'. I'm a fan of his art for obvious reasons, so writing about his characters should be a lot of fun.

I like the artwork of the marine and the elite drinking coffee together that he has.

A little under 2000 words today, I wrote more, but it's pending some feedback from Rube. New content at 'They continued on until the gate' Just a heads up, I have to do some IRL stuff tomorrow so I'm not sure I'll have time to get much writing done.

Terminal_Boy

No worries. That IRL stuff just won’t take no for an answer some days,.

Sharktogonapus

Speaking of irl stuff I just got a job so looking forward to seeing everyone in the discord server

I wasn't happy with today's update, the scene wasn't very creative, and just felt kind of 'meh' overall. Unfortunately, it's too late in the night for me to start over today, but I'll have something much more interesting for you guys tomorrow.

Snekguy

2000 word update, new content at 'He slipped a finger inside her'. I should be finished with the next update, but I may not be around tomorrow, as I have to get a tooth extracted, and I may be too drugged up to get much done.

As a person who has major dental problems in the past, I can understand. Make sure they don't hit you with too much Hydrocodone. They did that once with me and I could not walk straight and I was talking and laughing like a madman through the whole day (and that was through boot camp). :)

Snekguy

Added another 500 words to round out the scene, and we are finished! New content at 'He almost felt as though'. I'll probably start editing it in the next day or two, depending on how my recovery goes. Shouldn't take more than three days.

Wookey

As someone who lives in Sydney can advise that the phrase "a cool breeze blowing in over the outback" is just wrong. A cool breeze in the Sydney suburbs is more likely to come in from the sea ie easterly sea breeze. The westerly winds that come in from the outback have to go over the Blue Mountains first so they are generally hot. The super-cold winds that Sydney have (as we are having now) are from the south, ie Antarctica. Its very rare that we get northerly winds, if so its more likely to be extreme torrential rain as remnants from a Queensland cyclone.

Snekguy

The first 20,000 words are edited, up to 'They walked for a while longer'

JimTheEnchanterer

Hi Snek. I've finished another fanwork and sent it to you, so you might want to check your inbox if you haven't seen it yet

Poor Snek is getting overloaded by all the fans and our fanwork. I look forward to reading it (Assuming its reading material). :)

Snekguy

Another 20,000 words edited, from 'They walked for a while longer' to 'The gates opened with a mechanical crunch'

Snekguy

Finished! I'll be making the Ebook soon, Rube has been kind enough to provide us with a cover, so I'll get to it once that's ready to go.

Terminal_Boy

Sweet! Can’t wait to read it in book format.
