The next story has begun! This is the second of the three ‘state of the Galaxy’ stories that were voted on by the Patreon community, this time featuring the Valbarans.

An ice miner on the barren moon of Ganymede gets the break of a lifetime when a UN job placement program selects him for relocation to Valbara, a lush paradise world full of mystery and opportunity. When he arrives, he quickly realizes that the alien culture will take some getting used to, and that office politics are just as difficult to navigate as subsurface tunnels.

Human Resources is finished and I can start the editing phase, which I anticipate will take a couple of weeks, as it ended up a little over 140k words. I’m also going to be doing a bisexual alt version, so look forward to that if you’re of the Valboy persuasion.

10,000 words, up to Chapter 14. Current completion is 71%. Progress may slow down a little here as I’m going to be reworking the LPD test scene a little and starting to diverge into the bisexual alt version which requires some new content.

5000 words edited, up to Chapter 15. I also rewrote the LPD test scene to be a little less of an OSHA violation, and I've started writing content for the alt version. Don't have time to make the dedicated page for that tonight, but it should be up tomorrow.

The story has now been split into hetero and bisexual versions, both accessible from the same link. I’ll be alternating between editing and adding new content as I go. 6000 words of the hetero version have been edited today, up to Chapter 16. 1200 words of new content have been added to the bisexual version at the end of Chapter 14.

7000 words, proofreading on the Hetero version has finished, I’m just running it through Grammarly now. Chapters 1-6 have been finalized.

All chapters of the Hetero version have been run through Grammarly, moving on to the Bi version now.

Added a couple of extra fixes to the Hetero version and changed Yeni's name to Qimi to avoid confusion with Yemi. The finalized Hetero version has now been merged into the Bisexual version and I've resumed adding new content to the latter. Added a substantial amount of content to Chapter 16 to include Yemi in the lounge scene. Progress is kind of hard to quantify beyond this point, but I'll keep you updated as best I can. If you'd like to read along with the new additions, I'm only including content up to the part that's been edited so you won't overshoot.

Lost a lot of time with art stuff today, but the Human Resources cover is blazing along, and I had an update from Oouna about the size chart project, which is progressing very nicely. We’re potentially getting a truly massive amount of content with that, and I can’t wait to reveal more. 1500 words of new content for the bi version, from “Take a picture – it’ll last longer,” That wraps up Yemi’s chapter. I also edited everything up to chapter 20. On the home stretch now. I also caught a couple of small typos that I’ve reflected in the hetero version.

2500 words, I’m adding some new content here to better incorporate Yemi into this final scene. Not much left to go now!

1500 words, chapter 21 and all the additional Yemi content for that is done. All that’s left to handle now is the epilogue. Hoping I can get that done tomorrow so I can finish the last of the proofreading and Grammar passes next week. The cover is basically done so I should be able to move on to the ebooks right away.

That’s a wrap! The bisexual version is finished. All that’s left to do now is proofread the added content and run it through Grammarly. Hoping to have that done next week.
