Development Progress (7/14/2021) (Patreon)

Hello everyone! Apologies for the wait, and thank you so much to everyone who has been supportive of Casual Desires over the past couple months.

The current plan is to release Chapter 9 in two parts, so that players can experience new content as soon as possible. The first part will be out this month (two weeks from now), while the second part will follow another two weeks later, around mid-August. Once both parts are released, work on Chapter 10 will finally begin, with a shorter development time and an anticipated September release.

Regarding the reasons for these changes, I was at a bit of a crossroads with the story in the days leading up to the previously scheduled June release. In particular, I felt there were a few characters where it did not make sense for the protagonist to have sex with yet at that point in the story. Rita's boss (Jason) was the most notable in this regard, as I feared this wasn't compatible with her character at the current point in the story, and that such scenes would be received negatively by the players. As a result, I felt it might be best to take a bit more creative control and redesign certain elements of the chapter, with a few scenes being moved to a later chapter instead.

Fan favourites such as Luna, Haruka, Violet and Rita's male friends will all be receiving their lengthy sex scenes this chapter (as was previously planned), so have no worries!

I've also used the extra development time to introduce some new scenes that were not previously in the chapter, such as the new downtown scene shown above. I felt these would add some much-needed variety. Rita's male friends also have an expanded section in Chapter 9, as there is now not only a threesome scene involving them, but new individual scenes for both of them as well, for players who would prefer some one-on-one action instead!

Once again, thank you so much for all the support, and my apologies to players who were concerned about the lengthy development time and infrequent updates. In the future, I may consider moving a little bit from the poll format (and thus take some more creative control), with Patreon being a bigger hub for news, updates, and everything in between.

I hope you look forward to playing more Casual Desires soon! Whether the protagonist loses her V card this chapter, or saves it for another time, will be for you, the player, to decide. :)
