Development Progress (8/21/2021) (Patreon)

Hello! I hope you all have been doing well lately!

Development for the next release has been moving along steadily over the past few weeks. As you can see above, Chapter 10 is fully underway! I figured it might be better to bundle the extra Chapter 9 scenes together with this new chapter. There's a few reasons for this decision, namely...

I've been itching to work on brand new content for a while now. The previous release took much longer than expected (and was a bit of a roadblock for me), so having fun with the new chapter is the best way to avoid any potential for creative burnout.

Me and my wife have to go somewhere for a few days at the end of this month. There were also some other personal things I've had to take care of before then, which has made an August release a bit more difficult than anticipated.

The next release (v0.9) will contain the long-awaited start of the game's second act! Whereas the first act took place in the summer (and was largely build-up), the second act will take place over the course of autumn and introduces more significant plot threads, such as Luna's experiences as a university student, as well as the fifth heroine's new (and important) role in the story. This should also add some more depth and variety beyond the usual slice-of-life moments, so as to keep things fresh and exciting for everyone!

As far as release dates go, I'm still aiming for late September, but can't say for sure quite yet since this is still a little ways off. In the future, it might be better to hold off from making any hard estimates until development is nearly (or even entirely) complete, since personal matters or issues with development tend to have their way of showing up. *cries*

Anyhow, I hope you look forward to what's coming in Casual Desires! I'll be sharing more details and pictures (including those of the sexy variety!) for both Chapter 9 and Chapter 10 in the days to come. :D
