I wonder who said this resembles Frieren....both are unique in their own way from a story point....

Natacha

the only resemblance with Frieren is that it's a female character, nothing more. But I'm excited to see more reactions, I love this anime, it's sooo good

Amphyprion

Rather than Frieren it reminds me of Ascendance of a Bookworm. Except the anime adaptation for Apothecary didnt ruin the original work

Vanity

Just give it a few episodes and you will love this anime... you can never predict what is coming

CaptainCameron

The only reason Frieren and Apothecary Diaries get mentioned together is because they came out around the same time with two amazing female protagonists. BUT that being said there is a link between the shows! Lady Gyokuyou (the concubine with pink hair) is voiced by the same Japanese VA for Frieren.

maybe i remember wrong and they just meant we will enjoy it because we liked frieren? :D either way, the show is great and we love it so far!

JDanime

we're excited too! it's good so far and quite different from the stuff we usually watch!! so unique 😭

JDanime

we're loving it already :D
