Bleach: The real battle starts NOW

Balkadar

he is only 0 when released because espada are numbered by spiritual pressure they have. he amasses spiritual pressure so he can get that strong. other skills in which he is trash arent taken into consideration also he is slow and easy target

Volt

That's part of it but it isn't only spiritual pressure, but it is true that Yammy's only battle skills are things that involve spiritual pressure like tanking attacks, and him being quick and huge so his attacks are hard to dodge completely

Pandrix

The Espada system isn’t linear, power is contextual Some arrancar’s strength fluctuates (Yammy’s rage swelling), Kubo loves subverting expectations with simple rules that suddenly reframe everything, Kubo lets you cling to a false understanding only to twist it when you least expect it. Yammy’s reveal is one example. Subtext here, Aizen ranks based on potential at peak, not base form. Yammy is the only Espada whose power increases with emotion and release aka his rage as he said, so his maximum pushes him to 0. Yammy's Resurrección, Ira (Rage) His entire body turns into a rage-fueled monster. The more emotional he gets, the stronger he becomes. His size, durability, and destructive power spike massively. There's a Symbolic layer. He embodies the “sin” of wrath, unpredictability, and explosive emotion — the most destructive but least controlled. Unlike characters like Ulquiorra (nihilism or void), Yammy’s emotion is primal. Yammy’s “Ira” is thematically perfect: rage = limitless destructive potential. Harribel’s “Tiburón” is the opposite: calm, refined, deadly control. The episode showcases the two ends of the Espada power spectrum: raw chaos vs elegant power. This ep reinforces Aizen’s philosophy about breaking limits and evolving beyond natural order.

Powerscaling for Harribel is scarce because you don't really get the impression that she's going all out and its hard to scale how strong Toshiro is in comparison to others too but I do think it's interesting that she feels confident enough to challenge Yamamoto after what he did to Ayon, meaning she can do something similar which isn't groundbreaking for an top tier Espada but it puts her power into perspective a bit.
