Pandrix

Barragan embodies death at its most absolute, in senescence. To him, death is inevitability, superiority, and ultimate proof that everything must bow to time. This fight is commentary on mortality, resolve, and the different ways characters confront the idea of death. When Barragan says “even Shinigami fear death,” he’s calling out the irony that the so-called gods of death still cling to life and fear decay. His power represents the one form of death they can’t control inevitable erosion. That’s why Soi-Fon cutting off her arm matters, she admits that fear but chooses to act anyway, turning death from something inevitable into something she can confront on her own terms.
