yes teleportation is here sadly, the joruneys from location to location where sometimes the best part of seasons but theres not alot of episodes left and they need people in place

Season 7 is where things starts to go downhill unfortunately.. but 7 isnt completely bad. 8 tho.. 😭 Next episode is still fire 🔥🙏

At that point, you reached the main issue with last seasons : No book to adapt from. As such, they asked the author leads and the issue is how they handled them. When before many scenes would have happened for Jon to reach Dragonstone, now they had "Jon meets dany" in their notes so they teleported him. And this will; unfortunately, become the way the show works However good still happens, i'll die on the hill that every seasons had peaks moments, including the last one. Some are even among my favorites. But yeah; we all know that... it's the wish version of what the books will be (If they are released one day)

Great reaction as always. However, this episode was extremely boring. Bad writing and bad acting. (except Olenna's part)

I see a lot of people complain about teleportation or time jumps in the last 2 seasons but there’s really no other choice since all pieces are coming together. It would just be episodes of constant travelling. Now what’s across the sea doesn’t matter, braavos doesn’t matter, dorne doesn’t matter, beyond the north where 3 eyed raven was doesn’t matter, stannis, freys, tyrells, boltons, are all gone. It’s just between 3 groups: the lannisters, night king, the north. Time skip is necessary or else it would be unwatchable

it def was another choice, aka dont rush the final seasons, hbo was prepared to finance like 10 seasons + because game of thrones was such a money maker for them, but david and dan didnt want to give the show to someone else and didnt want to continue doing the show for years and years either

the thought of jon and company getting to dragon stone in 1 episode is so funny lol, they had to travel from winterfell to the coast line which was probably white harbour which is a good while from winterfell and then sail a boat from white harbour to dragon stone

Its kinda sad that the season game of thrones peaked in popularity and impact (season 7) is also where alot of the main issues are, i know season 8 had more viewers but i think seaosn 7 was really the peak of "oh did you see game of thrones this week?"

Emperor Zeref

Yes, HBO could’ve funded more seasons, but more seasons wouldn’t automatically make the story better. By the final act Game of Thrones wasn’t a story about moving pieces around the map anymore, it was the endgame. Everything important was already in motion. Night King isn’t a faction you negotiate with, Cersei wasn’t heading into a big character shift, the North wasn’t exploring or evolving. Stretching that out just to preserve realistic travel time would cut down tension, turn momentum into filler and slow everything down. Time compression wasn’t about rushing, it was about keeping momentum and letting the story come together instead of dragging.
