Natacha

a lot of people (especially book readers) did actually thought about it before it was revealed in the show, this video was made after season 5 and before season 6 was made, so nobody knew who was his mother because the book ends at season 5. so glad you guys watched it

GodUsopp

i mean this video was made before the reveal, many book readers picked up on it tho its alot easier to pick up on subtle details and mysteries when reading, i think alt shift x video on R+L=J would be a nice watch as well

GodUsopp

Yeah its hard to pick up on things during binge watching but when you have a episode drop and wait a week till the next one and then you have the community to interact with and talk about each scene with

Danny

It only just solidifies Ned as one of the greatest characters in the show. Easily top 3 for me. A man of honor to his dying breath. But he didnt allow honor to cloud his love for his family. He chose to wear the stain of dishonor in order to protect Jon. And it really puts into perspective that Stannis was literally the ONLY person in the entire show that didn't believe Ned sired a bastard. Thats wild Stannis had that much faith in the strength of Ned's character, even more than Ned's wife or his best friend Robert.

Patch

its so wild to think you're watching past where the books got to..... cmon George 😩

GodUsopp

to be fair, Stannis was responding to "tavern slut for a mother",Stannis was more saying Ned wouldnt betray caitlyn for some random brothel girl, which makes sense , since alot of people speculate in westeross that Jons mother is Ashara dayne who was a highborn girl, but it definitely is a double meaning thing purposefully put in the script

redpgps345

it’s easier to guess in the book because you can read ned’s inner thoughts

I cant wait till you guys finish, the new GOT prequel show just came out, Hopefull you guys watch some extra content as well like Alt shift x's videos, especially the one about the weirdest places in game of thrones, you begin to realize how big the world is and how small the tv show shows of that world
