Freezing videos (Patreon)

Hi guys, a lot of you have reached out to let us know that the videos randomly freeze when watching.. This is an issue with Patreon video player so there's nothing we can do unfortunately. There are also other creators experiencing the same bug..

If you can, please reach out to Patreon so they're aware of this bug and can fix it. More people reporting it could potentially escalate it: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=12863836871949For now, we'll try to add the vidyard link into the description of new uploads so try watching from there

Yah I had to close out of the app to realize it was the apps problem and not the creators problem. It’s only happening with the app and not the browser

i noticed its only happened to me with bleach but its like a 3 second pause so it hasnt bothered me too much tbh

the got episode was pausing but all i had to do was click the arrow button to fast forward a couple seconds and then it was fine for another 10 mins and then i had to do it again, so not that bad

I thought it was a patreon thing. Man patreon is actually so dogshit I was there was a better platform that served the same purpose.

Ok, but as a technical man myself (it's my job :D), I' like to raise some points that could help you : - I follow 5-6 creators on patreon and it's the only place it happens - I's not due to the patreon player since it happens too if you download the video locally My guess is that it's related to Patreon upload process or something related to your encoding process and them (Incompatibility) which would explain why it does not happen with every creator. I'll send all of that to Patreon

Patreon picks a specific timestamp for the thumbnail.. We don't have control over this because the video just so happens to be playing that part 😅

It really is.. Their website is insanely buggy. We discover new bugs every other month that we report lol. I can't believe they release these updates. Pretty embarrassing as a company 😅

Unfortunately most of the reaction community relies on Patreon.. Wish a better platform came along. We'd jump ship so fast

Oooh, didn't realize that you could download the videos as well. Thanks for the extra information and submitting a request to Patreon. It does sound like a video processing issue on Patreon server side. Hopefully they can fix it 🙄

As i said in your last GOT, I havent had a single freeze on the last video I dont know if you can download normally but I use a software called Internet Download Manager to download videos on platforms. I use it because my connection was bad in the past and you can imagine the frustration of having a reaction stop mid sentence and finish it hours later So now I usually let the video play on mute, download it and watch it locally, even if my internet is good now, force of the habit :D
