Planned my whole day around this upload lol

Arya killing the nightking is forever known as bs, the whitewalkers was Jons storyline , it should of been him, They tried to act like they set it up by having mellisandre pretend like she predicted it

Dasha

All these death scenes still have me in tears, especially Theon and Jorah. The writing may be ass but the cast and their acting is god teir

Dasha

I wish they added a scene where fire doesn’t affect Jon. Idk if he’s canonically immune to it but he probably should be and there’s a lot of ways to create a badass scene showcasing that ability

Things that were perfect in this episode : - Theon finally received absolution with Bran thanking him - Jorah's last stand, being true to the words of his House : Here I Stand, and he stood, until the very end - Ramin Djawadi's music, absolute MASTERPIECE Arya sneaked because of her assassin's training She used the knife move she showed Brienne when training with her

I don't think the act of it is really that bs, just how it got there. Like a lot of the issues people have, it probably could've been solved by better pacing and just splitting this conflict into a 2 parter. My main gripe is they didn't involve the white walkers themselves that much in the fight at all, I feel like if arya had a W under her belt vs a white walker it probably would've felt more earned.

no theres no justification for it, im sorry, thats simply not how stories work. Its like if mihawk is defeated by usopp, The white walks where Jons storyline, arya didnt know what a white walker even was until last episode , so is Arya azor ahai? The god that we KNOW is real aka the god of light said azor ahai will bring defeat the darkness with his special sword and is the prince who was promised, Who else do we know that is a special prince, the heir to the iron thrown, the son of fire and ice who happens to have a special sword?

Emperor Zeref

This episode had too many crazy moments. Stakes were high for real

You just described the storyline you wanted not Jon's one. Being the targaryen heir doesn't mean he can't be just an another Beric for the god of light. And even if he's the promised prince, funny thing with prophecy it's that, they can be interpreted as we want, how are you so sure the "darkness" is refering to the night king ? (Only with tv show materials) Also, I think the knight king is more the storyline of Bran than Jon's and you could easily argue that it was in facts Bran who deafeat him by using Arya as is executor (and cheating by knowing what'll happen obviously) Plus even if Arya didn't knew about the white walkers until recently, first of all, i'm pretty sure she knows them since she was a baby with the lady stories. The starks are close (in all meaning) to the wall or the night watch for centuries and northen people know they aren't just stories (I mean the night watch have a specific alarm signal for the army of the dead). "Winter is coming" doesn't mean "it'll be snowing guys" and ofc she knows it. So she was just not aware of the current menace cause she was in Essos but she knows very well what a white walker is. Arya's storyline is all about death who has many faces as she says, but if I asked you to pick one character to personify death in the show, you'll probably chose the night king. So even in that way it can make sense that Arya was the one to defeat him as a "defeat the death himself" kind of conclusion of her storyline. And finally checkmate, you know where Jon's storyline end (in the show) and it's not there. I know, we'll all feel the same. This season has so many issues, rushing being the main one to me but Jon's not killing the knight king is not one of them imo.

Flaccid Duck

bruh, she did not sneak when she was screaming before attacking

Camska

She did

GodUsopp

Jon not killing the knight king is definitely one of them lol, Just because I wanted it doent mean its not what they set up, As i said the lord of light is definitely real so Azor ahai is definitely real, and are you telling me Arya is Azor Ahai?, Also actually "Winter is coming" literally just means its going to be cold and snowing guys lol, That is always the starks motto and its about being ready for the cold. Aryas storyline is about her list , the knight king wasnt on it

redpgps345

she brought jon back to life & convinced danny to summon him to dragon stone.. i wouldn’t say her impact was meaningless

A pathetic villain, poorly written, disappointing ending
