I'm actually ok with Urahara not reaching out to Ichigo first. He might think it's best for him to keep this stuff away from him so he can start living a normal life. Orihime and the others did the same, they don't talk with him about anything soul society/Hollow or when something happens to them. Also Ichigo could've gone to Uraharas candyshop whenever he wanted, I don't think he would've been turned away by him. But he probably just didn't want to go because it would be easier to just get a clean break. And from that perspective, the soul society not contacting him doesn't seem tooooo bad anymore to me. Plus I'm sure they all said their goodbyes when Ichigo left the Soul society for the last time after the Aizen fight, we just didn't get to see it. But I still love your indignation about the whole situation. Because what do you mean I can't see my friends anymore just because I don't work there anymore?! Lol

If you're continuing with 4 eps a week, you should be finshed with the 3rd cour of TYBW mid may. Cour 4 starts in july, so you have roughly a 2 month break
