A lot of people hated this arc back in the day. I loved it we saw Ichigo at his most vulnerable moments and full of paranoia. There are a lot of elements of Plato’s Allegory of the cave.

facts. even i didn't care much for it back then cuz lowkey it reminded me of the filler Bount arc. However, upon rewatch- i'm seeing how well some scenes were actually done to build up Ichigo's mental and emotional fatigue. It's definitely way better than i remembered

it's a very human-centric arc. Learning about yourself, accepting who you are and what you want to be, and working towards your goals even when things get dire. It really does hit a lot harder when you're older. Honestly a lot of Bleach is different when your older, at least for me. As a kid it's like "oh cool fights!" but then you rewatch when your older and you see Ichigo dealing with his survivor's guilt, his hero complex, the Soul Society's laws and the structures in place to keep those systems going even to the detriment of others, the life of Hollows and their society of individualism, it's all just really great stuff.

Yeah I didn't either. Maybe like me, most were teens and wanted shounen, this diverges from what we expected. With age comes wisdom so I can safely say now that this arc is pretty good.

I absolutely loved this arc as it was coming out; it was different from other shounen at the time. Just like Ichigo was, but I was mostly alone in my love for this arc. I'm happy it's getting more recognition now

I gotta applaud Kubo though for being able to establish Yamamoto as the strongest while also being the most useless lol I get the idea of the CEO can't be running around doing everything, that's what you hire a team of employees for. It's just when Yama finally steps in he fails. He let Aizen, Gin and Tosen escape Sokyoku Hill when he was already there, he couldn't stop Aizen 1 on 1 before Wonderweiss showed up, and well...to be continued.

Gosh I love your reactions and discussions soo much!! Espescially during this arc…your outrage against literally EVERYONE except Ichigo is so hilarious. Yes Ichigo is still pushed out of his body, they just don't show it. Probably because by now the audience knows how it works, so why bother showing it. Also did you notice the lieutenant badge on Rukias arm? Looks like she got promoted

Now that you've seen this episode, I want to address the moment when Kisuke asked Isshin if he was sure when making the sword and said "A father may rob his son of his future." What Kisuke likely meant was by helping Ichigo regain his powers, his life may go back to what it was before which is predominantly occupied with soul reaper duties and that kind of life may interfere with college, life goals, living a normal life etc. That's how I interpreted it.

Just like with the rest of the show, there is also little things after the Ending Song after every Thousand Year Blood War episode that you can watch and I think most here would like you to see :)

This episode was so good. Especially when the squad pulls up from the senkaimon. Also, don't know if you guys noticed it yet with Rukia, the band on her left arm. That's a lieutenants arm band. She got promoted.

I love Aizen and for me he is the best anime villain of all time, but what this guys did not even Aizen went that far in messing up with he's familly for example, this arch is great because it plays with our mind besides our emotions, the creepy vibes were intentional and they putted not only Ichigo but also us in so much despair for him that when Ichigo found the hope he needed (from himself, the one that kept giving hope to him was himself and somehow he's mom like in the start of the anime) we also found ours in the anime and that is why we all celebrated so much the moments after, and this is what makes this arch awesome and very underated (yes I lived this arch I waited week by week to see this arch back in 2011/12) back than people didn't like this arch many called it trash, but not me, for me this is one of the best archs of this Anime because of the reasons you guys saw. I'me glad that people that is knowing bleach now, they understand what this arch offered and loved it. :)

The only thing I like about this arc was this episode and the next one ….even more so because this was the ending of bleach for a decade. I couldn’t believe that this was how it ended. 10 years we waited for THOUSAND YEAR BLOOD WAR. The hype was unreal when we heard about tybw and Kubo delivered a masterpiece.
