They indeed were prepared to take Ichigo down if the wrong choice was made. One thing about the Soul Society is that are very morally gray with some issues and have very questionable rules .

Alright now time to wait 10 years before you watch the first episode of TYBW ;). On a real note though I still get emotional when watching the last episode/opening. Really felt like the end for a long time. It was rough being a bleach fan haha

During the time the anime ended in March 2012, the thousand year blood war arc had barely started in February 2012 in the manga and the manga ended in August 2016. Throughout the whole arc there was never any updates about the anime coming back and I remember everyone was bummed out cause it seemed like the anime wasn’t coming back until they started teasing the return around 2019 or 2020 I think. Next thing you know it’s finally revealed that the TYBW is being animated and bleach makes a return in 2022 🙂 can’t wait to see you guys react to it cause they definitely put a lot of love in the animation and all the important scenes

Ken Lang

The anime ended in 2012 while the manga was still ongoing til 2016. They finally adapted the last arc from the manga, TYBW and released it in 2022. We waited 10 years for the next anime arc. And it was well worth the wait! Don't worry, even though OG Bleach and TYBW anime look like it's own thing and separated like you said, it's still intact with canon and a continuation from the manga. Btw guys I do recommend watching some Bleach filler. If you only ever watch one, I would pick the zanpakuto rebellion arc. We would all love to still see more Bleach whenever TYBW is over.

TYBW TIMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

CaptainCameron

Just a heads up for the upcoming arc, the animation team decided to fix specific colors associated with characters to be accurate to the manga. Orihime’s eye color, ichigo’s getsugatensho color, rangiku’s hair color are all more accurate in the new arc

Ohme

Ginjo's past is described in detail in the novel.

The fullbringer arc was boring as hell. All the setup amounted to practically 0 payoff. There's a reason the anime ended in 2012. Instead of making more filler, they shut everything down because the poor ratings couldn't justify continued weekly production. No one was expecting that future bleach arcs would be adapted if the anime was over. So everyone watching fullbringer arc was watching it with the mindset that this is how the show is ending ending. And there's just no comparison between this and Aizen's shenanigans. That's another big reason for why this arc left everyone with a bad taste in their mouth.

TYBW!

Volt

You just watched like 5 episodes of payoff for Ichigo, Xcution, Byakuya, and the entire Soul Society so idk what you mean by no payoff. It had nothing to do with ratings they were waiting for the manga to end, which is why TYBW anime got greenlit right after it ended

Volt

As others have said Ginjos past is explored in the novels and he didn't do it simply because he found out they were spying on him there was a lot more to it

TYBW LFG!!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

When Bleach ended, in 2012, i wasn't really a manga reader at the time. I didn't know the story was still ongoing. So, when I was watching this episode it WAS the end of Bleach. I did find out about the manga like 4-5 years later when it had ended and was confused cause I thought it had already ended. I then proceeded to read it from this point (chapter 479) and was sad that the rest wasn't animated. Thankfully a few years later there was rumors of Bleach returning and then BAM Bleached returned in 2022 and I was so HYPED. I can't wait for you guys to watch it. It gets a lot more mature animation with blood and gore so be ready for that. Much less censorship.

Venti Childe

Bleach trailers please! Or maybe the movies

TragicPlayer

I would like to request that the final 3 episodes (11,12, and13) of the first arc of the TYBW be a triple drop. I know you guys will be screaming the entire time.

dude "The fullbringer arc was boring as hell" is probably one of the worst takes I see regarding this show. It's like people don't really identify part of the reason the soul society arc was so good which was the mystery and the suspense. The payoff was there. I genuinely don't understand how it can be called "boring". the reason it got cancelled is the they caught up and at that point, one thing we knew is that filler arcs usually bombed in ratings and it was reflected when they did one after Aizen was defeated.

Hehe, everyone is using that "poor ratings canceled Bleach" misinformation right and left however they want! Neither Jump nor Pierrot canceled Bleach (one of their biggest IPs, lol). The Lost Agent Arc Bleach Blu-rays even outsold One Piece and Naruto back then! 🤣

JDanime

The dark ages for Bleach fans 😭 But now we get this masterpiece. Thank you guys 💞

JDanime

We do plan to revisit some of the fillers once we're caught up :D Since most people just want the canon material, we watch all those first. Did the same for Naruto + One Piece as well!

JDanime

Oooh thank you for clarifying.

JDanime

I can see people having different opinions on it Hopefully we'll all enjoy TYBW! Looks like the arc that will bring all Bleach fans together in agreement again 😆

JDanime

We'll try to for the captain tier if we end up watching them on the same sitting!
