Damn, can't wait or episode 6 !!!

CaptainCameron

This episode they kinda lightly touched on each Quincy’s personal abilities and they are related to a letter of the alphabet. When Quilge Opie was introduced it said “J” by his name and this episode he said he was called “the Jail”. Also Yhwach is pronounced “you-ha-ba-ha” in the anime

TragicPlayer

I really want you guys to just skip HoTD for this week, and just do these reactions. This arc is just too good. Or at the very least just next episode. PLEASE! I don't want to wait till Tuesday.

wileykat

Absolute peak episode

flowrence

I SAID THE SAME THING ABOUT THE POEMS. At least let me wind down and breathe for a moment. Bring back Kon and my silly little Shinigami Encyclopedia 😭

Jin Jusuke

Yhwach‘s name is pronounced Yu-ha-vach. The ch in the end is not a hard K sound or the English ch sound. It’s like the German Bach.

The other super cool thing about the TYBW anime is that even in the manga, due to time/studio constraints, we never got to see the context/flashback of Sasakibe's Bankai. So, that flashback was completely newly animated/drawn for us. TYBW anime is so special for Bleach fans.

Franina

My heart fell out of my chest when I saw what happened to byakuya the first time I watched this

Hielo Kasama

Quincy are very christian and german coated, even down to the Quincy king’s name being very similar to Yahwei, the Christian God’s name.

ShepardCommander

well most people already knew what happened before the continuation of the anime because of the manga, it was of course ahead but nevertheless it was devastating to see soul society take a big L every episode

Kalk Che

Bleach on me happy bleach off me sad

wileykat

No need to skip the endings

Yhwach is pronounced (YOO-HA BA-HA) or (YOO-HA FOR SHORT)

Ken Lang

Yhwach is pronounced Yu -ha - bock. The reason why Japanese VAs say Yu ha Baha is because of their native tongue's tendency to add a vowel at the end of consonants. Unfortunately English dub VAs did not understand this and they followed suit and also say Yuha Baha lol... The name Yhwach is inspired by "YHWH", a telegrammation of the name Yahweh which is the name of God in the bible. So it is Hebrew. That's all I can say for now. Daten is basically "Data" in german. As you've seen by now each Sternritter is given a letter by his majesty representing their power or "Schrift" as they call it. The letters are shown above their names on their name cards. Here are the ones we saw in the last couple episodes in case you missed the info: Quilge (Dead): "J" The Jail As Nodt: "F" The Fear Jerome (Dead): "R" The Roar Berenice (Dead): "Q" The Question Lloyd Lloyd (Dead): "Y" The Yourself Driscoll (Dead): "O" The Overkill Na na na: "U" Schrift power hasn't been revealed yet. The poems at the end displays subtle commentary of the thoughts and feelings of the character that will be focused on in the next episode. The meaning of the poems tend to make more sense to you once you've seen the episode. So I like to watch the episode, then go back to the previous episode's poem and read it again.

Brandocommando

Wandenreich is pronounced (VAN-DEN-RIKE)

Jnasty

they dont read the comments lol

Brandocommando

I’ve seen them replied a few times

Venti Childe

We know we're cooked when our last hope is Renji's bankai 🤡

secondubly

They usually read them in batches (usually near the end of an arc) which I think is fine personally. Lots of people in the comments will just spoil things.

WhichHunter

For the question as to what language, Quincies are and have German language and heritage

Ken Lang

It's actually Yu-Ha Bak. The "Ha" at the end isn't necessary but it's a natural way for Japanese native tongues to anunciate due to their language accent's tendency to finish a word with a vowel. They never end a word with a consonant even if they tried to. Which is why It is often difficult for them to speak english without an accent. So with names you will hear Japanese say "Tomu" (トム) instead of Tom, "Arubeto" (アルバート) instead of Albert. The katakana used to spell Yhwach is ユーハバッハ. The ハ (Ha) is used because there is no katakana character for "K" . In fact in all 3 Japanese writing systems there are no characters besides ん/ン that are standalone consonants, it's just not a thing.

rryutie

I had to have watched at least a dozen reactors to tybw so far, you guys are the best of the best. Every upload I still neeeed moreeee.

Ken Lang

Idk if you guys noticed in this episode but the color of the stolen bankais are different than the original colors. Sasakibe's bankai is yellow lightning whereas the Sternritter's usage of it turns it purple. Same goes for Byakuya's bankai. It's a darker shade of pink when As Nodt uses it. It's as if the bankai is given a corrupted look to it when used by the Quincy.

Ken Lang

It's not just Christian but protestant in general. But it's actually Hebrew. The Israelites were the first ones to speak this name.
