Okay the real shift here isn't just Alicent taking Cole under her wing, it's actually her protection of Cole for punching the king consort and getting away with it. Additionally, Corlys wasn't mad about Laenor's paramour dying (he was lowkey happy even though it's messed up) and dragged Laenor to the altar pretty much. Regarding Daemon, yeah he's horny for Valyrian or Valyrian adjacent women, not much to it. Otto is a scheming dick for sure.
