daeron targaryen is alicent's youngest son but she sent him to oldtown to hightowers.

Yeah the third son thing is kinda confusing (and a bit poorly introduced), but her son Daeron is her youngest son (16) by Viserys! In season 1 he was not around because he was acting as a squire to the Lord in Oldtown, where Alicent and Otto are from. His character does exist in the books so most books readers were aware of his existence prior to him ever being mentioned or seen in the TV Series, however he wasn't directly acknowledged in the show at all until Season 2. He is first mentioned in Season 2 Episode 2 by Otto in his meeting with Alicent before leaving King's Landing to return to Oldtown where Daeron currently is. And he is menioned again in Season 2 Episode 5 during the council meeting where Aemond is selected to succeed Aegon's position. The info is just a bit random considering he was never once brought up at any point prior to this BY ANYONE even though everyone is well aware of his existence... so this bit of "lore" I guess you could say feels out of nowhere and made up. He is about the same age as Rhaenyra's oldest son Jace, therefore he would have been conceived a couple years after Rhaenyra's marriage to Laenor in Season 1 Episode 5. Born sometime during the final 10 year time skip that takes place between the ending of 1x5 and beginning of 1x6.

Seasmoke was Laenor’s dragon .

Dragons got small because they were caged later on and didn’t get a chance to grow. They get bigger as they get older so none of them lived long enough to grow big. Vhagar is huge because she’s so old versus the black’s dragon’s are a lot younger.

Viserys said the idea that humans control the dragons is completely nonsense. The dragons choose their riders; speaking Valyrian has nothing to do with it. Speaking Valyrian is just like you using a different language to command your dog; the language is just a tool, and the dog respects you. So Seasmoke seems to have chosen Addam. And don't think too much into the Mysaria/Rhaenyra situation, it's HBO just being provocative and wanting to add some girl-on-girl action.

I know it's not real life politics but usually the kid furthest in line to the throne gets moved to their mother's home to become heir and eventually rule that city. It's also for safety as normally the line to the throne is treacherous and royals don't like competition so they kill their own brothers/family.

When Gwayne is talking to Alicent about her other son in Oldtown, he says he’s ten and six meaning he’s sixteen . There’s not two of them just Daeron.

16 years ago viserys was definitely able to sire another son… houses send third and fourth sons away to ward..

GodUsopp

yeah its kind of a sole survivor type thing, they try not to keep all the royal bloodline in the same place
