When you look at Ichibei through the lens of reading a manga, he is essentially the author of Bleach due to his control over "Black", the same black ink that is essential to writing a story. With that information, if you go back to the very first time Old Man Zangetsu made an appearance, we can see that when OMZ tried to reveal his actual name (Yhwach) to Ichigo, it was blackened out. It was Ichibei's doing, as he did not want Ichigo to turn into a Quincy, forcing OMZ to change his plans. Also, the technique Sankt Altar used by Yhwach was used to develop the Bankai-stealing medallions. So Yhwach could steal powers using his technique, but he still used the medallion to strip Yamamoto of his Bankai. That shows how Yhwach did not care at all for Yama's powers, having removed him from the Special Threat list. If Yhwach had cared, he could have used that technique to make Yama's Bankai his own. Instead, Yhwach resorted to that medallion, which was then used to get out of the wooden cage.

Ichibei goes so far back in time, he said "i guess if we were to call it what kid nowadays call its the bankai" 😂

Pretty cool that you’ll realize ichigo could potentially be a replacement for the soul king, not many people realize that clue early out.

Most of this fight is actually anime only, they were done dirty in the manga

Powered By Rice

ofcourse, so ichigo will be the one who beat yuhabaha, he's the main mc

Lets just say that Senjumarus Bankai is reality warping

Dragon Puncher

Probably the most important anime only addition so far. What they did to the Squad Zero fight was so important and also just made the whole thing a lot better and more logical. And the bankai is just awesome as well. The reason the episode ends with the whole Kon thing is because the studio had production problems in cour 2, so they didn't have time to animate the whole episode. But to make up for it cour 3 is 14 episodes instead of the announced 13. And a fun little thing that will probably just be lost to time, is how anyone online were just calling Yhwach "Black Ant" in the down time between the two cours and acting like he didn't have his real name anymore. Love that silly stuff.

We cannot go into spoilers, but Shuttara's bankai is not random, she did not REALLY decide "Oh I like ice, so I'll kill Gerard using and Ice cloth", it's something else that's being weaved, but we can go back to that explanation once you guys finish the next cour or the whole anime.

LOL That's hilarious. I love fandom jokes like that 😂
