you are totally right about how books can lie about how knightly and heroic someone is, Those books are right about Ser Duncan as we can see but those same books might also say "Ser steffon valiantly took up his princes call to defend the crown" when in reality we see hes a traitor

Yeah the reflection about the books about the knights/kingsquards. I think Jaime mentioned a few kingsguards in histories and lore that a few were killed or treatet unfairly because they did the right thing but the king did not see it that way or see it as an insult. So Jaime as a Kingslayer denying Aeriys' command he himself tried to be honorable and therefore his page was half full.

So when I was reading this short story when Baelor lifted his helm to reveal himself I lost it. Also “ are there no true knights among you!” Is such a powerful line. Baelor the goat he parallels with Ned Stark as far as honor goes. Raymond also an unsung hero.

One thing ill say about A knight of the seven kingdoms is that its just so much more of a simpler story than game of thrones or house of the dragon, no random time jumps, just dunk and egg and a tournament

when i was first watching this show, i never fully realized how crazy of a situation he was in because we didnt really watch the it from the royal family pov vs the other shows. Dunk was really wylin out but again thats what makes him, HIM.
