The irony of Ser Duncan the Tall. One of the greatest knights ever and honor bond in that verse’s history. Was never knighted

I also really like how the show portrays Maekar. You can tell he loves his sons and his brother.

i like that they made this show like a movie, you could totally watch all the episodes in one sitting and it would feel like an extra long movie

So many good characters. For me favourite has to be Lyonel Baratheon tho 😅🙏

I must say that although AKOTSK would not work that beautifully without got and hotd I can for sure say that if the series contionues in a simmiliar vibe it is goint to be my favorite series of the universe for real. Not only does this show represents dar better the whole dynamic of the world with many houses and also the smaller folk but also it allowas for deeper character studies with focusing on fewer major characters unlike GOT with their multiperspective storytelling (of course with its own charme). And of course the duo between Ser Duncan and Egg is the selling point. But also the different approach on Targaryans and how other houses and people sees them. It makes it more real and grounded and finally we get a knights story without too much focus solely on like Littelfinger would say climbing the ladder. Because exactly that allows for exploring more topics and general and really immerse with these characters instead of seeking desperately after upcoming scandal and conflict. Because this show works on its own due to its attribute of being interesting purely because of its world and exploring it and growing within it.

They wanna aim for a season every year, they dont want eggs actor to come back for season 2 and be 15 years old lol, they want him to grow with his character. If egg and dunks friendship feels so genuine its because it is, once they casted the actors they said they played video games and went to the arcade, they grew insane chemistry and you can feel it on the screen. I also reccomend if you want in your free time to watch the behind the scenes from each episode where they explain how everything was filmed and you hear the actors talk its really good

Yup, I described the show as the major players in the world often being background characters, like when aerion first showed up, if it was game of thrones the camera would of followed him to a more "important" scene but in this show he showed up for 10 seconds and then left , and then we get to deal with smaller houses and not all major ones

skye

wait that's a good comparison omg. i totally see it now that you mention it
