This was definitely one of the episodes I was anticipating the most out of this cour, and they blew all my expectations away. Koyama, who also directed the "Happy tenth Birthday" Kuma episode is so good with emotional chapters. A huge milestone for Robin as a character! One of my favorite One Piece episodes for sure

One scene that now makes me emotional because of the voice actors is the one where Genzo and Nojiko (Nami’s father figure and sister) are listening to Vegapunk’s speech. Their conversation goes like this: “Where are you going, Nojiko? The world is in danger...” “Tell me later. I’m going to check on the tangerine field.” These ended up being the final lines for both of them. Kōzō Shioya (Genzo) passed away in January this year, and Wakana Yamazaki (Nojiko) followed in April.
