Tbh I think Big Mom was lying. The giants hated her too much to even consider having an arranged marriage with one of her daughters and even when the Straw Hats arrived at Elbaph they didn’t speak fondly of her. They even know she ate Mother Carmel because some giants saw it happen and ran from the island. Plus her character had a tendency to not take responsibility for her actions so she could be blaming Lola when she ruined any chances of that years ago. But that’s just a theory

But I remember very well in WCI that Chiffon, Lola's twin, was the one who told Nami the story of Loki's love for Lola and their marriage. When she refused him, Chiffon said that her mother tried to marry her off to Loki instead of Lola after she refused him, but Loki refused because he knew that she was not Lola but her twin. This means that Chiffon met Loki too. So, does that mean that even Chiffon is lying?

Even that can only be part of the story though. It just doesn’t make sense to me that it would even be considered with her having that history with them and obviously planning on using them. I think part of the chiffon story is true but there’s a missing detail we don’t know yet just because that’s happened thousands of time in this story where even the people involved don’t know every detail
