Time to rewatch. Thanks for the late watch. And yes it was a masterpiece in animation and storytelling. I do have some gripes with the whole transparent world thing but it was a solid 8 .5 for me

Great movie , but I still think it should've been a season instead of a movie, there are moments were the backstory really took off the hype for the fight.

The plot armor really came in handy with that akaza fight . Akaza really could've killed off the mc and the hashira if weren't for his memories coming back and he killing himself.

The transparent world was hinted at in the season 3 against the upper moon 4 , and another reason why its occurrence and existence make sense would be a spoiler for the remaining two movies .

I really like this beautiful details about Akaza's story, his other tattoos form the snow kanji, "Yuki," referring to his fiancée Koyuki, and her hairpin is the same shape as Akaza's compass needle technique, all his attcaks named after a japanese fireworks that Yuki was excited to see him with , and also the detail about his color scheme as demon .

I know it was hinted at and I'm aware of the manga etc. I'm just not a fan of it. That's all.

8/10 🙏 For me anime movie of the year was Chainsaw man tho.. story, music and animations were superior in chainsaw man. People hyped Akazas backstory too much for me. So it was a little let down.. or maybe i have watched too much one piece 😅 backstories too good in it. Akaza still had pretty good backstory tho.. I think Akaza had a demon deep inside him before muzan made him into actual demon. He lost people yes.. but eveyone has lost people. No reason to start killing people brutally. Nothing justifies that level of brutality. Animations and fights were great 🔥 patiently waiting for the next one 🙏

That's what I thought as well. I just think Tanjiro attaining seeing the transparent world should not have boosted him in such a way that invalidated Akaza as an upper moon. It's almost as if Akaza was no stronger than a bear. I didn't like that.

I mean I don't think it takes away or it invalidates Akaza as an uppermoon, since transparent world is basically achieving full enlightenment in battle (kinda like ultra instincts). Which basically by passes Akaza's compass in sensing fighting spirit.

One thing I noticed during Kaigaku's flashback, he didn't even had a scratch on him and he was fighting UM 1, dude basically felt he was no match immediately and said "fuck it".
