MARK VS CECIL - CECIL BACKSTORY! Who's side are you on? 👀

While I'll never envy being in Cecil's position to protect the world from beings unfathomably more powerful than anything that he has in his arsenal, him sneaking the ear piece into Mark, already after he betrayed his father for the world isn't his best play! 💀

Anecdont

I understand both sides for sure but Cecil lacks a lot of sensitivity and Mark is still young and hadnt been a serious threat till this point . So then Cecil just springing the reanimen like that after what Sinclair had done to Mark directly without notifying him was too much and then the brain chip too…

I see both sides and in a vacuum would logically probably be more on Cecil's but man he really should've handled it better here, he's the much older and generally more mature one but he was needlessly provocative and failed to de-escalate multiple times (quite the opposite, actually)

if i was mark i'd literally just never be a superhero lol like never help no matter what, even if cecil quits

2026-10-16 03:00 if i was cecil i would of took me implanting that device into mark to the grave, based on how many evil marks there are out there like we saw from angstrom cecil is right to have done it but i think he used it too sparingly here, mark wasnt trying to take over the earth

I think the earpiece was a good play as a last resort - what if Mark gets mind controlled. What if he goes rogue. Its all preventative actions. The problem is that - this whole argument, while Mark is obviously upset, it wasn't "a last resort" type of upset. So not sure why Cecil reacted so strongly he had to pull out the earpiece for this argument.

Love how mark tells his mom and Eve, but conveniently leaves out the part where he was a crazy person

Of course Cecil was in the right but his management skills leave a lot to be desired. Mark is a child. He hasn't had life experiences Cecil has had. So there was always gonna be this moral gap between them. And the onus on helping Mark understand, or just butter him up in some other way, was on Cecil. Cecil dropped the ball on that front.

I agree he was insensitive and put that on Mark in the worst way possible. Could've definitely handled this better
